There are two primary themes flowing through Luke and into the book of Acts. One is the power of the Holy Spirit, which we need so desperately in this day; and the other is prayer, and this demonstrates that there is a direct relation between the two. And if you look in the life of Jesus you will see a praying man, by which He set the example for us to imitate.
Lord help me to be a man of prayer
