If you gave one of these to a kid they would have a toy they'll always remember, these things are amazing for what they are, and they fit so well into a 1/12 display
I can actually explain some things about the figures. Sonic's translucent quills are actually meant to be for the rerelease of him that has a light up feature to resemble his "lightning" mode. Which begs the question of why give Sonic this head and not make it completely solid like Shadow's. Who knows on that one. Robotnik's elbow joint is actually backwards. It's an easy fix. You just spin the elbow to the correct side and then twist the forearm to where the colors connect. Thankfully, the joints don't break in doing so. Knuckles is actually being released in a 4-pack where they release different variants of the mobians. Tails has an angry expression, Sonic and Shadow have a light up feature, but sacrifices the butterfly and torso joints, Sonic has a different expression to have that cocky smirk we've seen Sonic have in most of the movie media. However, the major highlight of the pack is movie Knuckles. It's up for PO at Target if you're interested in getting it. Additionally, the movie figures did get released way ahead of time. They were supposed to release some time in October, but whoops. Someone screwed the pooch and now collectors are out and about looking for these guys. Great review on these guys btw! EDIT, because I forgot to mention some things : It also confuses me that they chose to put Robotnik in this wave (because most likely there will be another movie wave coming later), and not Knuckles. Considering the fact that the attire that Robotnik is wearing in this wave is based off his look on Sonic 2. There has been confirmation that he will be coming back in the third film, so why use this design and not wait for the third one? That still baffles me. Robotnik does actually fit in scale with the 4 inch movie figures that we've gotten for Sonic 2. So if you had gotten those figures before and put that Robotnik next to them, they do scale very well!
I didn't get the original Sonic and Shadow figures. I got the light up ones from the four action figure pack that also included Tails and Knuckles. But I easily got Shadow through this pack and I'm glad I picked it up. Now I don't have to search for him. But Robotnik, on the other hand, I just bought on eBay for a really good price! And now I have a complete set and I'm ready to see the movie!
As someone who used to spend TONS on “premium action figures” that cost hundreds and shit like that… these figures have been better than every single one of those have ever been and I’m much happier with these in general not even with the price
8:38 Chaos Control! I like Shadow. He was my favorite to play as in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. His eyes are kinda weird though with how they're not rounded and cutoff at an angle before the brows.

Well tails does have a shorter figure so if course he wouldn't have a butterfly joint cause he is a shorter figure it make sense still kinda of odd tho
I am mad at the fact that they went with a bigger scale than the last movie figures. The Sonic 1 & 2 figs would've been perfect for that Robotnik, and maybe I could just add him to my movie figure display, but I'd still be missing a Shadow in a proper size. I see what they did by trying to not use the same figures of the last two movies for a third time, but it still bums me out a bit. The lenses in the pupils alone would've made the difference between them, without having to upscale them....

These are genuinely awesome figures. Cheaper than Marvel Legends, yet still nearly the same articulation.

I think you might be able to work with the elbow by bending the elbow and trying to twist the elbow joint so that the colors line up
Robotnik would fit with the sonic movie 2 figures. I have only been able to buy Sonic and Shadow. I have had no luck finding tails or Robotnik

I suspect you could get the 2.5" versions of Sonic, Shadow, and Tails and they would scale much better with Robotnik.
