Nope. The jewelry was internally threaded and that’s what’s used for any kind of piercing (except dermals and surface). It’s also safer to take your time than to rush it and end up piercing crooked.

There's not much pain when getting it done honestly. I felt the needle go through my lip but not pain really. It hurt more healing than the initial piercing. It feels like two bee stings for the time it heals.
