    The only issue with this video is saying that we used to use the barter system. There is no historical evidence to suggest people ever used to barter. Since the beginning of civilization, humans have always used some form of money. Almost like it's intrinsic to how we communicate value with each other. An abstraction layer as deeply ingrained in us as language.

    Good video. I honestly was expecting it to be a sales ad for Bitcoin knowing your position but it was pretty unbiased. Great stuff.

    Great video! However, I wonder how governments will be able to adapt monetary policies for specific countries in the future in case we have a universal accepted digital currency?

    Sound money or scarce money is the worst thing that can happen to the broad economy. Trading markets you should know that money tends to hoard and deflation is far worse than inflation for the low income layer of society. During depression like we are in today since 2008 they're the ones who borrow, can't inflate their debt away and eventually loose jobs. Medium of exchange should be inflationary opposed to store of value. This is why Bitcoin is never going to be the first one but has decent chance for the latter.

    • @CanariasCanariass
      @CanariasCanariass 2 года назад +1

      Can you elaborate? How is deflation or at least a stable currency bad for the economy? What effect will it have? Poor people seem to get negatively affected by inflation the most, so how would deflation hurt them more? I think it might rather hurt the richer people after all.
      Maybe it's time we need to move away from current debt based economic models. All of our economy seems to be based on growth, but at some point no further growth will be possible, because the earth has limited resources after all.

    Digital currency is useless without the internet. If some crazy shit happened, like a crazy solar flare or a nuclear detonation no amount of digital currency will help you. You have to have some physical gold, silver, cash.

    • @projectfinance
      @projectfinance  2 года назад +2

      That's correct! If we had complete loss of access to the internet, the world would be in big trouble.

    • @CanariasCanariass
      @CanariasCanariass 2 года назад

      If we get into any of these situations you described, money will be our smallest problem...
      So this is not really a problem of digital currency imo
