The process was amazing, but the most mind blowing thing was finding out you can hold command to push modules when moving one. This could have saved me so much frustration in the past!
That'll hopefully get some more attention in v2.0, it's really not well-known or obvious. I learned it pretty early thanks to Omri but can see people going a long time without.

Wow, cool patch Omri. Thanks for the video. When I read "Techno" I did not expect to find modules like Plateau, Chronoblob and Supercell in the patch. I usually associate such modules with ambient music. But it makes the beat very interesting. I think delay can be used everywhere and anytime. :)

Finally catching up on some tutorials, been wanting to do this one for a bit now. Patch from scratch is always amazing fun education but man this one was really cool to do :) Sounds great and it's cool hearing different styles from you and seeing how you approach them.
I enjoyed following along with this patch. Great stuff, Omri, as always. This also gave me the opportunity to find out that my MBP with an on-board Intel Iris graphics card is not going to work for VCV Rack. Time to build a music production PC.
Got really confused earlier (doesn't take much). Built patch on VCV after watching vid, paused it and started listening to Omri's album "Opus 7" on Spotify. Dog needed out in garden, came back and thought the patch had morphed into some incredible sounding patch, then realised hadn't pressed pause on Spotify :)

Lovely patch, really digging the Count Modula ones. It's a shame the XFX F-35 isn't available anymore for 2.0, 35 filter types in just one module is huge, i added Feline from Valley instead, and pErC0 as substitute for Lala ^-^ .

But, because your patches are seriously inspiring, I will have to tell you that you missed the opportunity to put an Autinn Bass behind the Percussive Vibration ;) and: extra thanks! I'd never committed to using the Macro Oscillators Bass mode but it is indeed a brilliant module for that kind of sound.

Not sure what I missed, my patches seem to be in line with yours. I didn't see how you patched the reverb return though. Stumped for now.

@@OmriCohen-Music I figured it out. I had the MindMeld Auxspander Jr module instead of the regular Auxpander. I set up the exact same patch and reverb came through fine. There must be some sort of bug in the Auxspander Jr as far as I can tell. Anyways, thanks again. About to deep dive into more of your vids!
@Omri Cohen Can you please suggest a good module for producing triggered one-shot LFO's with an inverted envelope/saw shape? (to use as a ducking modulation to a bass VCA during kick drums).
Hi! Have a look at the DADSR from BogAudio. It has an inverted output, and you can shape the envelope exactly how you want. If you wish to go even further, there's the ShapeMaster from MindMeld. If you're looking for an easier solution, there's Oppressor from Flag, which is great for this and has enough controls.
A very noob / beginner question. I downloaded your vcv patch , and opened the patch . It said missing modules , do i have to manually install all the modules ? Using VCV2 here. Also great content !

I hope they will reach the library soon... Just place the right file (under assets) in the plugins folder and open VCV. It should work.
great video as always! Quick question, when copying identical settings on the plaits for the kick, YOUR kick coming through youtube seems to sound different to my kick in VCV, is there any mastering or compression that could do this? Or must my settings in VCV be different?

@@OmriCohen-Music kick just sounds much punchier in the low end through the video, but not so much through vcv. Using my fancy new sony xm4's and it sounds veerrrrryyyyy huuuuuuge, but yea, had to tweak it a lil on vcv to get it sounding like the youtube video. I will download the patch and report back
You can do the same with the VCV VCF. You have 2 outputs, one for the higher frequencies and one for the lower ones, and with the cutoff you can set the splitting point :)
I'm not familiar with Cardinal, but maybe there's a different Euclidean sequencer? You can also just use a "normal" sequencer, and enter the Euclidean rhythm you want.

Hi! The Auxspander is an expander of the mixer, so there's no patching needed. You just have to place it on the right of the mixer, and it's connected.
@@lawdviola yeah, my template patch is the mixer with auxspander, and Plateau as a send reverb. Just make sure to take the dry down on Plateau, so you don't get the dry signal twice.
It's not in the library but you can find the files here - github.com/stoermelder/vcvrack-packone/releases/tag/Nightly Download the file for your system under Assets and place it in the VCV plugins folder. If you don't know where it is, you can open VCV, and under Help choose Open User Folder. Just place the file in the plugins folder there and restart VCV.

Hi! Yeah, you can use the VCV VCF. You have the cutoff control that let's you choose the x fade point, and you have both low pass so lower than the cutoff, and you have high pass so higher than the cutoff.

Hi! Yeah, unfortunately, this collection was not updated to VCV 2. Instead of LaLa, you can use the VCV VCF. It will work, more or less, the same.

I can't find Studio 6+1 plugins for VCV Rack 2, can you recommend an equivalent to the Lala module?

Hi! Yeah, you can use the VCV VCF. You have the cutoff control that let's you choose the x fade point, and you have both low pass so lower than the cutoff, and you have high pass so higher than the cutoff.
