Love listening to you talk about this stuff bc I would never imagine such stories went behind these. I love how passionate you are about the little luxuries in life 😊
Thanks Vanni :) The bracelet is genius! The designers really studied poison throughout history and created a perfect historic reference with the bracelet containing poison but with a twist cuz this bracelet contains perfume :) xoxo
Those are some finely-detailed perfume bottles, especially Opium pure parfum --as I was holding mine, now; so seamless in its geometry. On the other hand, that bottle of Budoir, with such commanding presence --like hailed from a prim and proper society 😁... can hardly wait for that review, as I've never smelled that one before. Mind you, "naïveté", "naivety" is one of my favorite words in the English language. Tnx!!
Wow. I really enjoyed this deep dive into the symbolism and history behind the bottles. Poison wasn't my favorite in terms of scent (I was more an Opium gal myself thanks to my mom), but the bottle is one of my favorites.
my all time favorite perfume bottle design is actually the current Les Exclusifs design, its bold, imposing and timeless. In its 200ml form it stands firm like a building. Love it.
Except for the magnetic stoppers, those bottles have already been in production by CHANEL way back in the 50's and 60's ;) Even bigger in 400ml bottles as well :) But Les Exclusifs also have from time to time 400ml splash bottles available of their best sellers. xoxo
Thank you Leni! I have my perfumes all over my home... Literally every where except in the bathroom! And no perfumes on windows and no perfumes in the fridge or freezer! But everywhere else is fair game ;) As for the pure parfums: they are stored in their boxes or containers and stored away from light and in a dry place! Perfumes do not like humidity. xoxo
Gorgeous bottles, I have a preference for the Boudoir. I love the bottle of Vol de nuit by Guerlain but they just make it for pure perfume now I suppose. I'm so sad they stopped making all the different bottles to only make the bee bottles. They are nice ok but I'm a bit nostalgic...
Your knowledge and content is grand, I keep Chanel No.5 mini from 1987.
Thank you Yamile :)

enlightening video as always. the Poison bit blew my mind-I never knew the bracelet format existed; how brilliant.

Presentation is everything, it's what attracts us to reach for the tester and smell the fragrance. It's primal. The bees know which flowers to go to.
So true! We know our flowers ;) xoxo

Thank you Caleb! Wishing you happy classes and stay safe! xoxo

Thank you Bob :)
You literally speak with / through your hands, and it's a beautiful language.
Great topic for a video! To me the best bottle design ever is Vol de Nuit Extrait by Guerlain. Art Deco Perfection.
Thanks Fabi :) xoxo

I am blown away by the Vivienne Westwood bottle.
The Poison insights are fascinating.
It's a shame that all these brands don't make refillable bottles anymore, because millions get thrown away every year.
What about Tigress from Fabergé? No idea what the fragrance was like. 🐅
Dacob what is your opinion on allure edt
wow, beautiful jewels, I love then. xo
Thank you Lola :) xoxo
