Guys, blood type isn't just determined to get "the" blood type, it's mainly done to also determine whether you have any irregular antibodies that might have formed either after birth or after another blood transfusion or any other contact with blood from another person. And yeah, you need the whole big vial for that... this is done to ensure that should you ever need a blood transfusion, you can get one that is matched to your specific Blood group and subgroups (rhesus, Kell, e/E and others) as much as possible.
Pleased to hear you finally got your booking in appointment and scan date! I saw a male at 1 of my appointments when I had my daughter because my usual midwife was off sick, he was absolutely lovely and bizarrely calming-I'd always just assumed before that I wouldn't like a male midwife! You are glowing Emily, looking so healthy and well so far in the pregnancy and don't worry what people say about your bump, I don't think you look big at all. I'm sure I was bigger than you are now when I was 12 weeks and that was with my 1st baby! People unfortunately will always have opinions, whether it be pregnancy body/post pregnancy or just your normal figure. Ignore them and just be confident knowing that you are growing a HUMAN BEING inside you..that is simply incredible in itself :-) xxx
+Lucy Lou14 Aw thank you Lucy, that does make me feel better - I think I am a bit worried of what is to come a I did get quite big with my boys and I am a bit scared but I should probably embrace it as i will be my last pregnancy :-) xx
I LOVED a home birth with my second. We had our son in our tub, he still reminds us that's where he was born, lol. After birth and shower, I got to literally just climb in bed! it was the best!
It's a distant memory since my last pregnancy (my youngest is 13) but I'm loving how excited and lovely these updates are :) you seem to be a very slim build so that even a tiny bump might seem big to you but it looks perfect and you've exactly the right attitude! Embrace it :) xx
+Lesley Dawne Aw thank you Lesley! I feel a bit chubby as I'm in that horrible between stage where I don't look pregnant yet, just a bit over weight ha ha xx
You don't look too big at all. Like you said it's your third baby so your uterus will remember what happened before... twice over. I've had someone tell me I'm really big and on the same day someone else tell me I'm too small. You just can't win...so just ignore. 😤 What's more important is that you're carrying a healthy child and that you're happy 😊
Aw thank you! I know people love to say their opinion when I was pregnant with my first someone told me that I was the biggest pregnant woman they had ever seen!! I cried my eyes out and was scared how big he'd be but he was 8lbs 1 :-) xx
Congratulations Emily!! Keep meaning to say, if you want to chat about homebirth, give me a shout. I made the decision really late on because we moved house when I was 7 months preggo, but it was the BEST decision I've ever made! After doing everything through Broomfield, I then had to re-register with Queens hospital because they cover homebirth issues in Brentwood, but that was simple enough and obviously if all goes to plan the bwood community midwives look after you the whole time and they are FAB!! xxx
+Emily Norris when I was pregnant with my first I had a male midwife do my stretch and sweep and he was fab but the midwife (Robert) who delivered my youngest was brilliant. He was probably one of the best midwives we had! Xxxx
My OB is a male and I absolutely love him. He came back to the hospital when he wasn’t on call to perform my C-section with my son. He is the Dr. that delivered me too almost 30 years ago!
Aww Emily you are glowing and your bump is super cute. Your making me broody lol! I had a male doctor deliver my son and he was lovely, plus when your in labour you seriously don't care who the heck delivers them do you haha x x
I was so annoyed that they performed the same tests that they already knew the information to (I’d had a baby 2 years prior at the same hospital). I have a negative blood type so I have to get shots so my blood doesn’t interfere with the baby. It stings when you don’t have insurance. 💸💸💸
What do you think of the name Dalton?? If we have a boy I love this name but my family really dislike it but me and my partner are stuck on this name... thoughts would really appreciate what you think pls. I'm 10 weeks today 🤰
You're looking very glowy! I planned a home birth with Daisy and started off at home, sadly she had no intentions of making labour easy and it lasted days and days so ended up in hospital but I'm considering it again now for this baby!!
No it's lovely , the bigger the bump , probably the more healthy . My bump was huge! I shot up to a size 16 and I had to wear maxi dresses all of my pregnancy xx
Watching this for the second time as we are finally pregnant with our second 😍
Your hair looks are amazing! You look so radiant and happy .
+sinazo manentsa Thanks so much xx
I envy you I’m dying in my bed lol at 12 weeks. Hope my sickness goes soon x
She’s so sassy in this video, I love it! LOL

Oh and that can unfortunately change throughout life
Resulting in multiple testing.

Poor you sounds hard and stressful. Hopefully I will get to but I'm not going to get my hopes up incase its not possible xx
I prefer male doctors as they don't try to know how you're feeling if that make sense. congratulations and you're looking great! xx
Yeah it was actually really nice and sometimes in a way some midwives can be a bit bitchy only a few and you don't get that with a man! Xx
thanks for sharing. new subscriber!
I am happy that it's going so well Emily! and the midwife- midmen thing sounds really funny ;) have a good one xo
+Jesse Voorhans I know crazy right he does deliveries and everything! xx
