A few minutes later I caught #3502 at the trail crossing before returning to the Oak Meadow Station. Note the two different bells that are used in this crossing.

I have to admit the 3502 has a beautiful sounding horn and a simple horn from a truck No Doubt

2502 has a better horn. Its horn is an old-cast Nathan P3 that came off an actual D&RGW GP40.
3502 won't have its SoundBlaster horn forever, though. Our chief engineer, Bill Church, wants to install a P5 variant used by the CNW (probably a PVC replica). Another volunteer, CJ Vargas, wanted to put a K5LA on it.

It’s been a while since the bell on that drop arm gate signal operated now the only bell that operates is the vintage Crossing bell on the opposite side on the full-size crossbuck pole

The big Bell is a locomotive style Crossing Bell some have said these were the forerunners of the wig wag Crossing signal here is a video of a similar Bell
