Maharishi Parasara in his great book Brihat Parasara Hora Sastra while dealing with the MahaDasha and Antardasha combinations always has maintained a particular format of explaining the results. There are 9 x 9 = 81 possible combinations as there are 9 MahaDashas and 9 Antardasha. However when he comes to explaining certain MD and AD combinations he deviates from that standard format. We are surprised. You can guess why he did that. Maybe he wants to say they are very tricky and challenging periods most of the time regardless of even good positions of the said AntarDasha Lord. Sir, female goat/goat is suggested to donate.
It may be because goats are the animals of kritika (female goat-moon exalts in second pada) and pushya nkt ( male goat) the nkt of nourishment. Both are the nkt of sun and Saturn. Female Buffalo/black cow is suggested to be donated becuse of hasta and UTTRA BHADRAPAD.

Sir, please answer this doubt.. many will benefit.. here, Rahu-Ketu period remedy is given as giving goat in charity according to bphs.. but if it is not possible to someone.. isn’t there any other remedy available? Like can we do any prayer remedy for Rahu-Ketu?? Or only goat donation which Parashara told works for Rahu-Ketu or any period??

What if a combination falls in good as well as bad..like 6th & 9th lord Dasha..eg for Cancer Asc Jup..
My higher education got lost during Jupiter Mahadasha, Saturn Antar dasha. I was deppresed, lot of bad things happened to me. Tried to sucide more than few times. But now I feel the bad times are going to be over
i missed something. When judging the results of a dasha , do you go by the D1 , D9 , D60, or what? From my experience it can't be the D1. i will tell you why. My moon dasha was very good, even though my moon was the 12th lord placed in the 2nd house in the D1 chart. Whereas, my Mars dasha was mediocre even though Mars was the 4th and 9th lord placed in the 9th house, Aries in the D1 chart.

Dasha and antar Dasha both play an important role and how they are placed along themselves is even more important, D1 is important, you need to refer bhava chart to confirm the placement
All the BPHS bhavas need to be calculated considering the Ascendant or the Grah as the center.
I mean the 1st bhava is computed taking Ascendant as center and 15° on either side. All the bhavas are equal and 30° each. eg: if ASC is 20° in Taurus, then 1st Bhava is 5°Taurus to 5°Gemini. 2nd Bhava is 5°Gemini to 5°Cancer, so on.
This rule holds good while computing the bhavas wrt the MAHADASA lords also. eg: if SUN is the DASA lord, and is in 5° in Taurus, then 1st Bhava wrt Sun is 20°Aries to 20°Taurus. 2nd Bhava wrt Sun is 20°Taurus to 20°Gemini, so on.
PS:- This is not mentioned in the BPHS. But this is my research with various charts, including myself and my family. I encourage all to try this as a research to prove that MAHARSHI PARASHARA sayings are CORRECT.

I am not sure if the question is directed to me or EKDK. Since the REPLY was to my comment, I am trying to answer.
Deciding the results of a DASA based on one or two planets is hazardous, that too without knowing the exact latitude of grahs. But the general results based only on MERCURY in 12th house, as per BPHS are...
"If Budh is in Ari, Randhr, or Vyaya, there will be loss of wealth, due to indulgence in lascivious activities, possibility of suffering from rheumatism and jaundice, danger of thefts and malevolence of Government, loss of land and cattle etc. At the commencement of the Dasha of Budh, there will be gains of wealth, betterment in the educational sphere, birth of children and happiness. In the middle of the Dasha, there will be recognition from Government. The last part of the Dasha will be distressful."
Please do not conclude only based on this. You will need to check all the BHUKTI results under MERCURY dasa to conclude the results, which requires complete birth chart.

Sir, the remedies for most of the combinations is donation of animal. Is it just giving away or is it related to sacrificing an animal?
It will be always giving charity and not to harm any animals.
Sir, when RAHU MD - KETU AD -- in Positives they say ketu in angle or trine ? it can only be opposite to Rahu.. does maharshi mean from ASC lord here ? @21:00 min

To be honest I dont agree with Sun -Rahu, Sun-ketu and Moon Rahu to be placed in dreaded ones. I have been through Sun dasha and sun-Rahu, Sun-ketu periods were most fruitful given i am going through Sade sathi, bad Sun dasha and in foreign country all alone.
My moon -Rahu will start jan 1st 2022 and it will be my very good period as per my guru. On other hand
Venus-saturn and Saturn- venus is one of those dreaded combinations will trouble people irrespective of how good or bad thay are placed. Accidents, defamation , imprisonment mainly involved in fake or real cases from women is the theme. Rahu-ketu,ketu-Rahu is also challenging.
