VW New Beetle Broken Door Handle Fixed in 5 minutes

If you are here, you aren't alone. VW plastic is crazy brittle and fails more than any I've ever seen. Both the door handles on my daughter's Beetle broke off and I had to fix. Luckily, capitalism is a thing and folks on eBay make a nice looking inexpensive machined aluminum replacement that takes just minutes to install.

one of the worst cars to fix i have ever owned //handles on mine are broke along with a bunch of other stuff including the sun roof opens its self when it rains once you get it closed proper unhook the power wire from the control in the roof and do not use it..
rest up and find a shade tree the cabin air filter is at least a 4 hour job the first time you do it

Been there too! What a stupid design. A rodent of some type had burrowed up in there and eaten through my side marker wire on the passenger side and that's the same way to get to it. But yes, such poor quality plastic in this car.
