what if there was an alternate black cat ending where we delay the baby for long enough for the doctor to arrive because i think the black cat got him there and once he arrives he will give instructions to put the core back while he and newt try to hold the baby for as long as they can and once you put the core back then the baby gets lasered but this time newt is protected by the doctor and the same thing happens to the core and the doctor says to give it to him and once you do he goes to the door and welp, he puts it in the hole although he said to himself not to, but this time, it opens the portal to the house and he pushes us in and he says "Here. Take care of Newt for me okay?" as he pushes Newt with you and the portal closes. The End.
There's an actual ending that happened to me where after you open the door and the eye tries to take you. The doctor arrives and says "why did you bring him here ?"after the eye pulls you up instead of the doctor saying "what have you done " and the eye takes you he begins trying to save you or fight the eye and say "not this time". I was on mobile and logged in with Google plays and after the end I got an achievement where it says that the cat kept her eye on you
Man the books really foreshadowed the possible ends like with the cat(the player) allowing the baby to enter the garden(the world) The sheep (you just doing every thing the baby needs you to do and then he just kills you like the boy did with the sheep) The rabbit (the player just escaping from the baby ya know “run little rabbit something there will be more” or something”
The black cat, because of the phrase "curiosity killed the cat" and the last mission beofre the ending is called "curiosity".Also because the black cat brought the player there. The same logic with the rabbit, youre following the rabbits instructions to leave
Fun fact hastur is also called the king in yellow and what is the baby called the baby in yellow or the prince combine those prince in yellow hastur is probably his dad
In one of the audio recordings, the doctor said that the cat warned him about the danger when it was necessary, apparently the cat warned him, but it was already too late...
Yeah,when the he got broken I spent 5 minutes looking for anything to fix him,I was crying,I would have done anything just for him to be alive,I’m sobbing rn😭😭😭
They probably took care of it then hired a babysitter so they can abandon the baby after getting possessed by Hastur (i think thats the ghosts name cause king in yellow and baby in yellow yk what i mean)

My theory is the cat is a manipulator in the library the baby ignores the cat and also the cat never stop the player from making the ring waver and open the portal The cat also guide us there for some reason since in one of the log the doctor said the black cat is smart and he didn't know what the black cat is thinking
Everyone is sad of newt but we didn't care about us being gone forever because newt can be repaired again too.. but we are not like that... we be gone... forever...

And as we could see, the cat can also move through the pictures and this could be a good explanation for why we didn't see him the whole game.
