I recently lost my Baba (my Turkish father) to cancer and seeing you talk about your grandfathers books/library (how he had read every single one of them) really got to me as my father had a MASSIVE collection of books that he left to me and my sister. Going through his study a few weeks after he passed was so surreal and having those books is one of the best ways I stay connected. Sending you all the love for your loss, thanks for making these videos they always make me feel cosy and warm :)

Would definitely love to see more of your irl vlogs in Morocco in the future. Wish you the best & I'm sorry for your loss. 🥹

We all have roots before branches- what a beautiful way to show us exactly that. Coming from immigrant parents myself- I truly understand how humbling it is to fly back home (I’m from El Salvador) and see how your parents grew up and the different life style you have. Apart from that, missing a lot of quality time with family due to distance. Praying for you and your family. I lost my dad I’m December so I absolutely share all your emotions during this trip.

Beautiful vlog, from a beautiful person, in a beautiful country! I understand and relate too with the morbid reality and the pain of travelling. Here in PH you have to ride a plane, a ferry, a van, a tricycle, then climb a mountain, then cross a river just so I can see my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins which I can only visit once every decade. We can only hope that it won't be the last one, but we always make every visit feels like its the last one. Condolences to you and your family. Stay beautiful!

It was definitely hard being separated from them when my mom brought me to the states. My grandparents are in Canada (I’m in the US) so we went every other year as kids and even year once they started getting older. I relate to your experience with covid. My grandpa was in and out of the hospital and I remember crying the day I heard the border closure was extended. We went up as soon as mandatory quarantine wasn’t required (w/ vaccine) and got to see him. He was so lonely all through quarantine (he was at an assisted living facility that went on lockdown multiple times while my grandma was at a nursing home with Alzheimer’s), but he stuck around long enough for us to see him one last time.

Having lost my grandma a few years back I understand how hard it is to loose someone so beloved, especially grandparents, cause when we are young they were more dear to us than our parents (atleast for me) . So, high condolences for you and your family poki. Also your grand parents house reminds me of my grandparents house (mother's side), so much.

the fact that you put a map displaying a split moroccan territory is an insult to your moroccan origins

Wow, he must have been quite the healthy man to be almost 100. I'm happy for you to have got to see him again before he passed. It makes me all teary-eyed and stuff cause both my grandparents that I got to meet passed before i graduated high school. Your family's home looks so cozy and welcoming. Your little cousin is also so adorable. I can totally understand the temptation to pinch his cute little cheeks. I hope get to go back as often as possible. My heart goes out to you and your family. Losing a loved one is so tough but at least you can keep them with you through all the beautiful memories you made together.

This made me miss my home back in my country too! seeing you visit all the places and food to eat. I'm not close to my cousins because they're waaay too much older than me but I've always wondered how it would be to bond with them like that. My grandma is the only one alive and she is staying with us for a few months going back after September ends and it really made me realize to spend more time once she's here. Loved that you shared this part of your life with us Imane ❤

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us and I'm very happy you were able to see your family. I know exactly how hard it can be coming from immigrant parents myself. Morocco is very beautiful and I hope you got to make good memories there. ❤
