    I have watched several installation videos and this is the most informative. Especially pertaining to the strut and strut mount comparability. Thanks, well done.

    Thank you. One thing if note though... I was able to get rear shocks out without dropping sway bar very easily. I just jacked the differential and used an extension.

    Bilstein mentions in bold letters never to use an impact drill to tighten the fasteners and also the top nut for the front suspension should not be fully tightened until it’s under load (wheels on the ground).

    The GT500 mounts look much easier to install than the 11-14 ones. The 11-14 is recessed down and it's very difficult to get a wrench down there whilst stabilizing the shaft of the strut.

    I now own this exact car that you installed these struts on in this video. I have been drag racing the car, I purchased some rear drag shocks for the car from you last year and I need to know if I purchase front drag struts do they have to be for a gt500? Since I have gt500 front strut mounts?

    Would a 1.5 inch drop front and rear be too aggressive for these dampers?

      +GA08GT That is just slightly past the recommended drop so you should be fine.

    Help !!! I just received my b12 kit. The strut says the bilstein has its own bumps stop (nothing under the boot) but the eibach spring that came with it says add the bumpstop and boot (would go above the blue boot) ...which do I listen to ?

    • @arcorob
      @arcorob 7 лет назад +2

      Just FYI for anyone watching, you do NOT use the included bumpstops for the front that comes with the springs ...its incorporated on the Bilstein strut

    so sense it's the same thickness at the top, do I even need the strut mount for my 2014 v6? like just buy the shocks and struts without the gt500 strut mount?

    • @Zerogivengarage
      @Zerogivengarage 8 лет назад

      +Trevor Sellers you would just need to make sure you get 11-14 specific ones

    My struts make a clunk noise when I hit bumps, the whole assembly is new including the mounts, do I just need to tighten the bolt on the strut rod? Or Do I need a rubber insulator where the bottom of the struts meet the coils

    My mustang have 94,000 miles with the factory shocks and one inch lowered springs ., Am I have to change the springs with that miles or just the struts ? My budget is not really good now . What do you sugest ?

    • @newfie-dean5803

      You don’t need to change the springs. They don’t wear out like the other suspension components do.
