Hi, mein Name ist Phil und ich blogge seit 2007 auf meinem Reiseblog www.killerwal.com über meine Reisen rund um die Welt.
In keiner Stadt war ich bisher öfters als in Madrid. Und beim dritten Mal hat es nun endlich geklappt: Ich habe euch ein kleines Reisevideo mitgebracht. Kommt mit mir auf einen virtuellen Stadtrundgang und erlebt die Sehenswürdigkeiten wie die Puerto del Sol oder die Gran Vía und besucht das Maskottchen der Stadt, den "el oso y el madroño" (Bär am Erdbeerbaum)

Direktus Mmm Not really, there are many places to see and enjoy, in Madrid you can find plenty of buildings from the Spanish golden age (1516-1700) as well as architecture from the Reinassance. I recommend you and everybody else the church Iglesia de San Antonio de los alemanes, the royal palace (both baroque) Casa de los lujanes (1450) and many more houses like this in the old centre specially in Plaza Mayor, la Puerta de Alcalá and many more, but also some modern classical architecture. If you do not like historic buildings you have one of the best art galleries in the world where you can find paintings from Cranach, Rubens, Velázquez, Goya, Tiziano, Caravaggio, El Greco, Dürer... And many, many more. There are more excellent museums like the museum of America and two museums for contemporary art. In addition, Madrid has its on special charm, its the third most populated city in Europe and you can see a lot of alternative and strange individuals, you will never be stared at. In Madrid you can sense the true Spanish spirit since its the home of all the migrants from another regions that tried to search a better life in the capital, and that has made Madrid a place where everybody is welcome and treated with love and sympathy. That Schweppes advertisement... Well some people like the bright street lights of a big cosmopolitan city... Madrid has that too... But your comment (And I don't want to offend you) it's as uneducated as the American tourist I saw in Germany that were saying they saved Germans from the war and that they should be thankful. I love Madrid with all my heart please, do not disrespect it. Ich würde Ihnen gerne diese wundervolle Stadt zeigen, wenn Sie nach Madrid irgenwann kommen. Ich bin sicher, dass Sie Ihre Meinung ändern würden. Ich wünsche Ihnen einen sehr schönen Tag.
