Brother, do you have a civ that you love that happens to be good? If you do all I would recommend is replaying the first 5 minutes of a game over and over with 2 different starting strategies, typically it’s 2 TC or rush. If you practice this over and over within an hour or two you’ll be 2-3x better than you are now

I've been having lots of trouble with China, it's like 6-8 minutes in and I'm getting rushed buy massed castle units or massed units in general, If I hold off the first assault and go castle, I'm fine but it's a little rough. Early stone walls are a good counter well raiding their eco because they have to spend resources on rams and can't mass like 50 archers and 20 Palace Guards when you only have like 15 units.
AOE4 Statistics for 'Conqueror Iv' since October/November has Abbasid at 43% win rate. I am fairly sure the nerfs have driven Abbasid to less than S tier. Prob less than A tier
I love age of empires since I was a child but the main problem for me they always had is the lack of faction specific troops. Like wtf it’s not even that hard. Every faction has like 3-4 unique troops and this is just not enough. It is not even hard to create them.
@@colin8477 if you and your opponent are the same skill level it’s still d tier at any level of the game. Idk why he says these lists don’t apply to gold/platinum players, because they definitely do, and they apply to ladder games in general. Balance is not perfect
I dont know why i alwas find zugs ti be really flixible and really good Definately i am bad against zug all in and all other cheese stuff like fast castle etc but the fact that zugs are so cheap and can easly be spammend and you can legit get all deers behind that with pro scout is really good Honstely xhu xhi and china are too good too flexibile and there is not a road map what you bascially wanna do against them

I feel like English has been so weak this patch no matter if I play it or the enemy plays it. Only when I got to imperial, perma producing wynguard rangers while being somewhat even I was confident in winning. Other than that it felt like by far the worst civ that I play
@@khoaanh9188 it's a calv unit I mean even knights are just horses with humans on them. Camels spook the horses making them hard to control whether they are doing damage with a bow or sword doesn't really matter.

I just started playing China and I’m blown away with how crazy it is. Age 2, 4 archery ranges and I can spam 4 bows/1 vill from minute 5 till game over. As you grow your army diversity grows and 50-60 bows will kill almost any army
This tier lists don’t make any sense really. It depends and varies at each level, depends on players as well, and even if it might be somehow relevant for Pros, it still works only for a few dozen of dudes which will always play differently depending on the match up so not following “meta”. Anyway, I guess the purpose is to talk about the game without telling much in fact to keep to community updated! But I really feel it’s somehow pointless and just polarize people who will bully other because they pick “OP CIV” 😅

People in low leagues like me (plat) will always say that the easy civs to play are even those OP, like english and french, just because we are not able to play the hard ones. According to my tier list for example: i m way happier to play against an abbasid, byz or delhi than a OOTD, specially in team games.

The problem with order truly is that you have half the units of everyone else and that your units are not twice as effective
