- In this video I check out the rom hack SimpleFlips's Mansion made by
Alkamyst. This is a rom hack for Super Mario 64. SimpleFlips has fled from infinite GBJ. To escape from the police, he hides away inside an abandoned mansion. Little does he know... the mansion is actually haunted! Can you find a way out? Made for SimpleFlips's 3rd ROM Hacking Competition (Theme: Halloween).

I think the concept this hack is very fun, but I am not a fan of the actual level design nowadays. There are just a lot of... questionable moments. This is back when I did not plan out my levels in advance, so theres just a lot of ideas thrown into this hack without a lot of thought. Granted, that kind of adds to the vibe, which is partially what I was going for (the mansion purposefully getting stranger as you progress). Also, interesting to see you play this right after The Death of Mario since that directly references this hack with its plot. It's Nathaniel Bandy every time!

The red coins are pure cancer holy shit. Wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact the star resets if you leave the level

PS: i have to put in 0,25 speed to see each hp bar of the comedian, funny how 5 he is dead while 7 he is depressed.

PS 3: Where have i been in the events of this missing episode? I never really knew about this so i never was there, this is canon in the GBJ timeline
My romhacks kinda have their own little universe belonging to them. My first three hacks were sort of a trilogy, this being the third one. Plot points from these hacks show up in later ones, but the story isn't really continued substantially.
