If you haven't already, can you make a video on (fidelity) dividends and how to manage that? Also, how do you calculate the percentages of what funds are invested into your portfolio if you are picking them and not using robo? And am i able to opt out of fidelity go before my roth account for example reaches 25K?
Hey Megan, great questions! In regards to the Fidelity Go and opting out, I found this thread through reddit that a Fidelity Rep responded with. "it is correct that if you originally choose to have a Fidelity Go account you can later change your mind. While a Fidelity Go account cannot be directly converted into a self-directed Fidelity account, you can contact our Fidelity Go team to help with closing the Fidelity Go account and transferring the assets out to a new account." Link: www.reddit.com/r/fidelityinvestments/comments/15n8k04/fidelity_go_vs_normal_roth_ira/ As far as percentages allocated toward each investment, on the platform you will be able to see this displayed under the "positions tab". I find it easiest to see from using the computers platform. Additionally, for fidelity dividends.. I have mentioned this through another video I will link below for you. The video has timelines in the description for ease, if you select portfolio managing it will cover managing dividends on Fidelity. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching my content, it means a lot to me :)
Hey! So I have not personally used Fidelity GO, the Roboadvisor, but I will say they are supposed to create an investment strategy for you. Did you set up an account for it to automatically invest for you? Where is the FXAIX coming from that you have mentioned? My apologies, just confused on the question. Thank you for reaching out though! :)
@@DannySully what I did on Friday was just put money again on FXAIX, an international Index FGLIX? and 20 percent FXNAX( bonds). 60 20 20 but I might change it to 80 10 10. I stopped my Bitcoin because I it's a lot and im grateful. Now, time to diversify to your 3 Fund strat. Jack Bogle style. Thanks man. You helped me out. You and Humphrey Yang and Tae Kim. You especially. Every pay period, i dollar cost on BTC but now it will be for the 3 Fund for the next 10 years. I did not use Robogo, I did not fund it. Still, I'm still able to see my pie chart on Fidelity. Exciting!!!!
Roth IRA is maxed out at $8K FSELX- $350 FSKAX $200 FSPGX $2500 FXAIX $4200 and PLTR $749.00.....do these look good for now.. i know the marker is a mess right now but being new to investing i would like some ROBO advise.. haha... i am still catching up on all your videos. help!
Hey! Last year, I opened and maxed out my Roth IRA, receiving a 5498 Form. Do I need this form for tax filing, or is it solely for my records? I'm a bit confused since the money I put into my Roth is already taxed.
This was really helpful. I inherited an IRA years ago that is about $350,000. It’s been with the same financial advisor that whole time. He’s getting ready to retire and I’m not sure if I will stay with the person he has taking over his accounts or not. I’ve been managing my own HSA ($15k) after watching many of your videos (well also Jarrod Morrow and Clear Value Tax). I’m feeling successful with that but the idea of a $350,000 account intimidates me. 😅
Thank you so much for your comment. That means a lot to me! That's great you have been managing your own HSA and learning how to control more of your own finances. It's a great way to learn and grow your knowledge. That is a large IRA, best of luck with your decisions!

Great point and the answer is I personally don't use them. HYSA are also short term very high. I'd be very surprised to see a robo advisor over the long term underperform a high yield savings account though. Index funds long term have proven to be far superior long term.

is it easy to switch from robo to personal?
Teacher!!! question question. How come Roboadvisor Fidelity doesn't include my Index Fund of FXAIX. Rookie question ❤❤❤❤

Could you do a video on options trading, covered calls, and things like that?
I will definitely add that to my list! I can't promise I can get a video on that up soon though.

Hey great question! That form is pretty much for informational purposes to track what you contributed. It is not required for filing.

I have Fidelity Go. Can i still bypass the robo advisor and buy index funds on my own?
Yes you can, you do not need Fidelity Go to do so!
interest rate is at 5 already. Might as well put in long term cd. I seen some at 5.4

But even the highest yields (@ 10:53) are below a high-yield savings account rates, why would you want to do this today? 🤨
