Touring Masjid Al Abidin in the blessed month of Ramadan

During this Holy month of Ramadan, we had a tour of the beautiful Masjid Al Abidin on 127th Street, Liberty Avenue in Queens, New York. The masjid has been under re-construction for a few years now and is in dire need of funds to complete it. Imam of the masjid, Shaykh Safraz Bacchus who facilitated the tour, is pleading with the Muslim community to contribute towards the successful completion. The brothers and sisters are occupying two houses temporarily for prayers but they are very inconvenient. During Ramadan they use the incomplete building. When we visited, #President Irfaan Ally provided the Iftar (food for breaking the fast).

Hmmm… I’m not sure what to say but I moved from NY to Canada and then to Florida and this masjid is still not done. I mean ! ? InshaAllah…someday I guess
