    Such an excellent, responsible video! There are so many people in the online beauty gurus and influencers irresponsibly recommend all sorts of products including supplements that are not at all one size fits all. Also so good that she warns against essential oils (in general) and says to avoid makeup and too many products when skin is irritated. It’s very reassuring that Violette is honest, informed, and responsible encouraging people to see health professionals.
    Also so great and important that she notes that stretch marks are not really a consequence of not using enough/the right cream, that it’s mostly genetics. It’s not your fault, ladies! Be easy on yourself.

    I didn't lotion my stomach at all during my pregnancy and didn't get a single stretch mark on my stomach. But I did get it all under the breasts. I think stretch marks are truly genetically determined. Thank you for being educated and honest in your suggestions and not just pushing products.

    Thank you for being honest about your pregnancy experience! It's so annoying when people romanticize it and don't talk about all the issues that come up because then if you're pregnant and suffer then you start felling bad like "this is supposed to be the best experience of my life and I hate it, I'm an awful mom" and that sucks.

    A good tip for bug bites: dip a spoon in a tea cup of hot (almost boiled) water and press it onto the bump for a couple seconds, the heat neutralizes the toxins in the bite, it stops the itch and heals the bite faster. Make sure the water is hot enough to sting a little but not hot enough to burn you! I had the same sand fly disaster a few years back and this was the only thing that helped immediately.

    Merci beaucoup Violette!
    Je t'embrasse affectueusement, et encore mille merci pour tes videos instructives dont l'esthétique est un enchantement.

    I don't understand why you didn't use brands like Pai (especially the Rosehip Bioregenrate Oil and the famous body duo for pregnancy), Ren or Susanne Kaufmann which are much safer for sensitive skin that go through these changes and much safer for the baby. African botanics is a great brand tho ! I loved this video and it's very important to share your authentic feelings and debunk some aspects of pregnancy. So happy for your guys and can't wait for you to meet your little girl. Take care

      Rosehip oil has vitamin-A in it, so it sounds strange to use specifically for pregnancy?

    • @alvyora9006
      @alvyora9006 5 лет назад

      yes but the Pai one, probably due to its origin and mode of extraction, has very little vitamin A is pregnancy safe as indicated on the website. Also, actual retinol and naturally-present vitamin A in rosehip oil are two very different things. And the Pai oil is part of the rare organic oils that don't contain essential oils, only has some rosemary extract

    • @alvyora9006
      @alvyora9006 5 лет назад

      I know right ! Can't wait to try out the new Pai cleansing oil ! I'm sure she does know these brands, but then yes considering how many brands send her products, it's hard to pick from so many references. You should try Susanne Kaufmann cleansing gel and moisturizers if you have the opportunity one day, if you love Pai and Ren, you'll love it !

      cheechek sylmz a break down of essential oils...even if they are natural or organic they can be extremely toxic to a baby or even a adult. Fragranced oils can be heavy on chemicals and again can be bad for babies. I think both of them aren't good for you when you are pregnant or if your skin is sensitive. Natural oils can cause a "chemical" burn the same way fragrance oils can cause.
