- I've been gone for too long but I promise I haven't forgotten You all. I am back with a Disney Look. And this time it's the Exotic gypsy Beauty Esmeralda with her Dark Skin & Bright Green Eyes. Since I look more like Pocahontas it was a sweet challenge trying to change my features to look more like Esmeralda. I've been wanting to do her Look for quite a while now. Hope I did justice to her Look !!!!

shes done black characters before though... i think its all in how it looks that determines if its blackface or not. remember, the purpose of blackface was to dehumanize so they had clown like features...as long as it doesnt look clown like, doesnt make the nose and lips look unsavory, and she adds life to the skin (rather than just painting it 1 flat brown color omitting an undertone) it would probably be fine
I agree with you, of course :) I'm just saying I've read comments about how some of those make-up transformations she's done were blackface (and many people defending her with pretty much what you just said). I'not saying it would be, I'm saying some people will accuse her of it. And it's really quite a sensitive topic, so...

I don't get why people get offended if se does a transformation of a person with a darker skin colour. She is not saying that the person whom she is transforming into is black or saying something bad to them. If the transformation is requested and she's doing it of course she will have to do a darker skin colour of the persons is. How else is she supposed to look like the person.
