I have been over thinking my pinion angle, thanks for simplifying it!

Doing my 72 Nova now. 5.3LS/4l60e and a 10 bolt 8.5. Trans is 3.5* facing down, driveshaft was 1.3* down towards the pinion and the pinion was pointed down facing forward towards the engine 1.0*.i ordered 2* leaf spring shims to get the the pinion to 1.0* facing up towards the floor pan then I'll get the trans shimed up to about 2.5* facing down and see how it goes (pulses badly right at 68-78mph on the highway)

    More great stuff Shawn!
Slow down a bit so I can catch up with my assembly process.
Just kidding.....I’m so far from where your at I’d never catch up, plus at 59 I’m just thankful I can still get up from the creeper 👀

Great knowledge man, thank you. Did you do anything to balance the driveshaft? Would a mig be acceptable as well? Preciate ya!

I haven’t had one vibrate yet. Good to 180 MPH so far!
