Dear sir really you have done a great job. I am planning to create my own vba worksheet. But I dont know coding. Please teach code to us that how to make such worksheet from scratch. We will be grateful to you. Ya I know it will take much time to explain all this coding but I feel to learn this code.
When will this software be available, I am a civil engineering student and this seems a good software for testing out whether my work is correct, much simpler than prokon or master series
Brother Its appreciable but I think it's a waste of time...It's good to know the basics and background processing of FEM softwares but analysis is a job of the software.Structural engineering skills are tested when you are dealing with design of Irregular or complex structure like where to provide columns, shear walls? How to reduce torsional irregularity? How to make ductile structure? Etc Structural engineer must have these skills .. Analysis is a part of FEM and we have very sophisticated programs to do that we just learn the correct techniques of modelling to get accurate results.. That's my opinion
Yes i absolutely agree with you but this is something that i am trying new, and just to start of with i made this program which for me was important as a first timer, secondly i believe developing softwares is as important or probably even more important because you always try to come up with something new which would aid a designer, so as a structural engineer you do not have only single responsibility of designing complex structures but also of simplifying that process of designing and that can only be done by programming which only handful of people chose to do so, and probably i have developed a bit of interest so i would like to pursue that.
Also this program is not based on FEM but it uses stiffness matrix method which is more accurate but cannot be or would not be feasible to apply for structures having large number of degree of freedom and restraints. I also work in a structural firm and trying to think of something that would help the designer community.
@@DCBAonline I appreciate your work but please make videos on analysis and design of 3D structures which can help designer community...The stuff you teach on your channel is relevant to University students studying basic structural analysis...Good Luck Brother Keep it up
@@DCBAonline Structural analysis FEM softwares also use direct stiffness method...You did well to make your own program to know what happens in the background of these softwares...It's very time taking task and require determination...Hats off to you brother
