Why exactly is that complicated? Fran is Sylvia’s daughter. Maggie is the daughter of Fran’s boss. It’s a joke about a grandmother not being considered for her granddaughters birthday. Since they weren’t family by marriage yet, their association was just simply described in the most literal way. Wouldn’t be different in another language. Does the English or any language really become more complex simply over the same word “daughter” being used twice in a sentence when referring to two different people? That’s why Sylvia said “My daughter” and “Bosses daughter” That alone should give very clear indication to who is being referred to when she said the word daughter twice. If you didn’t pick that up; than maybe it’s more an indication of your reading comprehension for any language instead of a testament of how the English language can be complicated sometimes. I agree that it can be complicated sometimes but this was not a proper example of showcasing its complexities.
“Your sister got me blackballed like she did at hadassah!”
I LOVE SYLVIA!!! ❤😂❤😂❤😂❤❤❤❤❤
This show was fabulous, but when Sylvia and Yetta were pulled in, they just made it even “bettah”!
My daughter's bosses daughter' Sylvia perfectly illustrated how complicated the English language can be sometimes.

@@IcecteamOni-x4vwell, not everyone is native English speaker and possessive 's doesn't exist in many other languages...
