I also like the "drop the knife" factor, how with FRN the scuff hardly appears or not at all, whereas with G10 and other scales, it really shows. FRN just more user-knife friendly.

Interestingly I own 3 of the knives on your display. I also have it in my Spyderco Mannix 2 LW, and other Cold Steel models.

I really like FRN if textured well. There's a reason they use it in lots of firearm designs and tool handles, etc.--it is tough stuff. It can feel a little "cheap" if your knife is super lightweight, but that's just a psychological bias of equating weight with quality. I also really like G10 and micarta but they are more limited in the shapes they can be formed into, and you don't see a ton of micarta available on the market. Peel-ply carbon fiber is nice as well, but I find that titanium and carbon fiber are a bit overrated/too expensive. Aluminum alloys can be made pretty darn strong but they are also slippery if not given a bit of texture in the finishing process. As another commenter mentioned, FRN does tend to hide damage fairly well compared to, say, anondized aluminum. It is a very practical choice for knife handles and, therefore, isn't seen as "sexy," but that doesn't mean it isn't good.

Msnnix I prefer G10 , but FRN and those other materials Cold Steel uses to make their plastic is okay and helps cut the cost ,but on the knoves the use G10 it's a big upgrade IMHO.
    Although I don't mind FRN & stuff. 😊

Not everyone likes plastic scales and this is the reason I've never bought Houge DeKa or Benchmade why would you put some good Steel and then slap on plastic handles they don't have to be Titanium or Carbon fiber G 10 remember these are EDC work knives
