I do miss it a lot. There are lots of cons and pros to consider though if you're thinking of moving there. Pros: -Switzerland is clean -Switzerland is beautiful -Switzerland is safe -everything works really well (most efficient country ever) -Lots of things to do if you have kids. Especially in the summer when the badis open. Cons: -everything is super expensive -I hate to geralise but Swiss people can be quite snobby so there is not as much sense of community (if you are not Swiss) as in the US and Mediterranean countries @@user-jj5mp7ib1f
Lol! I lived here for 4 years. "Too far to walk to the old town"? Take the Alsdadt exit from the train station, walk a block to the lake, then while taking in the amazing view, you suddenly find yourself in the old town!
Mahalos for this! Will be going thru Zug on a 2 week bike tour out of Zurich this July. Did you say a lake with "Pike and trout"...? I have never heard of such as pike is a predatory species of trout. Interesting!
You will enjoy little Zug and surroundings. Yes, I mentioned the Fishery Museum has exhibits, and does some breeding of pike and trout. As their website says: This is in the Old Town of Zug directly on the lake and features a breeding area you can visit. This is where whitefish, pike, trout and the famous Arctic char are bred. The museum, with its unusual exhibits and exotic collections, transports you back to how fishing was in around 1900. After coming here you will never look at the lake in the same way again. www.zug-tourismus.ch/en/culture/museum/fishery-museum
There are three sections in Switzerland, French (where Bern the country's capital is), Italian and German (where the town of Zug is) and each speaking their respective languages. Therefore, she is speaking German and not surprisingly French and or Italian and possibly English. I worked in Zug in a company called Video Fone It no longer exists), as well as other places in Europe for eight years. Many beautiful places in Europe is very storybook-like.
@@pkop4 Standard german is ok - It is as good as impossible to learn the swiss german if you didn't learn it as a child anyway, it sounds ridiculous if germans try to do this :)
I lived there for 7 years. I moved 3 years ago to Thailand and I like to watch these videos for nostalgia.

@@karlgiertz2754 No, Bern is in the german speaking part of switzerland (I lived there for 10 years, I must know).
@@thomi77 If one were to move to German-speaking Switzerland, it a requirement to learn the Swiss version of German, or do many speak standard German?
