When you brought up consent, I think that’s literally the issue with how Toga was handled. Her parents, the quirk counselling - all of it focussed on suppression & trying to force her to be “normal” (and then punishing her even when she did what they wanted because it still wasn’t good enough) rather than helping her work around her quirk/personality. If they’d accepted her & helped her find a way to make her powers work, taught things like consent & made her feel like the world still had a place for her, none of this would have happened. Instead, Toga has grown up believing the world has no place for her at all - which is why she joined the League to “make the world easier to live in” for people like her…
She enjoys it when she hurts people, for her that's affection. There is nothing that can be done about that. It's like teaching Bizzaro to be good.

This isn’t fully correct. It’s explored later in the manga so I won’t post spoilers but anyone who says any of the main villains were a “lost cause” & “nothing could’ve been done” simply haven’t been paying attention. The story is quite direct & clear.

@@Kaiser_MHA I agree with the villains not being a "lost cause". When Dabi's backstory was revealed, I wondered if there was a way for his Quirk to work despite the limits his body had towards it. The manga confirmed that there was, which makes Dabi's circumstances a lot sadder.

Sure, there’s ways around it. Dabi says that Endeavor only ever taught him how to turn the heat up because he cancelled any lessons or training when he was 5. Endeavor is also rich & we’ve seen what support gear can do. But even taking the quirk & everything aside, in Dabi’s case not neglecting him & exposing him to abuse would’ve literally been enough to not create a villain 😅
As of this episode, Deku has the Third's Fajin, the Fourth's Danger Sense, the Fifth's Blackwhip, the Sixth's Smokescreen, and the Seventh's Float. The second user is the only one whose quirk has not been revealed yet, so you'll have to wait for that.
Moonfish was in the summer camp fighting Bakugo, Todoroki and Tokoyami. The guy who fought Kirishima was just some rando.

I know Toga is the obvious star of the show here, but shoutout to Touya and his new skeleton-like mouth. It's both sad and scary. I’m really hoping that the students can still get through to them though.

That's exactly what it is; her way of love and her yearning for blood is intrinsically linked to her quirk and is exactly why she can't see what's wrong with her feelings, or her way of thinking. If you were to remove her quirk from her she'd be an entirely different person, her quirk is what makes her the Himiko Toga we know now.

Yeah, I think the quirk literally change her brain so she can optimally use her quirk. Imagine a dragon that can breath fire. It probably better if they have fire resistance flesh right. You still can breath fire without it, but yeah you would be like Dabi.
Her quirk forces her to want to drink people's blood. And naturally that is heightened if love is involved, cause love is just always problematic like that sometimes 😂

Dabi's last sentence means this: Endeavour tried to make a son who is not limited by the heat of his fire quirk. Therefore Shoto is his masterpiece since he can control his heat with ice. Dabi however was born with a fire much hotter than Endeavour or Shotos, which is why he burns himself. He now wants to tell the story of how he kept living on without burning himself out.
2 Notes aside: Dabi's visual in the manga is waaaay more brutal and disgusting, you can really see his flesh being ripped apart by the heat.
Also Froppy is so cool, I love her saying that she doesn't want Ochakos feelings for Deku to be revealed like this

Alright we got the separate layered battles of the 2nd war.
Seeing the team layouts was worth it combing the kids and heroes at various different locations. A great deal of matchups make perfect sense narratively and physically. But one is neither. All-Might here’s a fun fact to you. Iida is WEAK to fire and is prone to overheating! And you put him on the Dabi field team?! At least the sidekick Kido is weak to fire with a long streak of redirecting fire to be with Endeavor all these years! (But having a speedster that rivals Gran Torino is good IF he can deal with the fire)
AFS body growth is just SO disturbing. This is how Garaki decided to STABILIZE the quirk stockpile so he could more effortlessly combine quirks without it causing pain to the AFO holder. So based on that we can assume AFO isn’t always the most comfortable when he combines quirks so much it expands his body with the arm made out of arms. We might be able to get some actual enlightening info on how AFO has functioned all these years. And with the ability to use the still completely unknown amount of quirks, the INSTANT quirks reenter the picture he can completely remake the battlefield in anyway he wants. AFO at max potential against Nana made a LANDSCAPE of quirks. And he’s setting the stage to be able to make it look like child’s play.
Mirko might have a stockpile of new robot limbs (this girl is ACTUALLY planning to lose limbs that many times and KEEP GOING. ) but her bruising abilities just got a LOT less useful. And why WOULDN’T 2 of the most stubborn characters have personality conflict. Bakugo only respects Aizawa and Jeanist here. So GREAT time for Bakugo to Bakugo. Monoma can’t release erasure now he’s officially stuck in for as much time as he can manage. Because the next BLINK can be all they need to lose. And Jeanist says we can win without OFA! (BJ…this is the 2nd time you’ve devalued Deku as nothing but his power. In season 6 he said AFS has to have the will to overpower 8 collective willpowers…while not counting the 9th. Methinks he’s not a kid kind of person. Good thing Deku isn’t still TEETERING on the awful apathetic emotional space! Not like he just barely recovered.)
And now we got the Toga field. The Nomu REALLY like exploding their bodies with shattered spiked bones it seems. Woman (yes that is what Garaki named her) from Season 6 exploded her shins, the Nomu from the jailbreak that killed Briareos exploded its gut, and now this thing! Throw in Moonfish keeping the heroes away from Toga and now it’s just Toga and her 2 loves. (I’m going to go on a limb and say Bakugo gave Present Mic a narration because that STRAIGHT UP sounds like Bakugo told Present Mic to call him a nerd. GREAT continued progress) When she confesses to Deku he has very amusing response as he panics. So at the school festival after the “Hero Too” concert, he spends the day with Eri and Mirio sure, but unseen in that episode he spends a great deal with Uraraka where they spend the day doing EXACTLY what he just described what it meant being in a relationship. Uraraka mildly panics realizing what that meant and now Tsu needs him OUT of there. Toga now that she has her answer that she is NOT the same as Uraraka stabs her and she’s trying to hallow out the love she once felt for them. The obsession is still there. And it’s plausible that Toga can still use Uraraka’s quirk. (God forbid she realizes how strong it REALLY is if she DOES get it)
Deku activates Fa Jin in just 3 kicks, so his Faux 100 is easier to charge. More proof Deku is at his higher stockpile level. His Faux 100 as of this point is Mach 22.5 at a 75% level (Deku’s 100% would be 75% of All-Might’s Mach 30 level in season 1) and with the gloves that work at 20% air flow, he’s stabilizing at Mach 6. Which IS fast but when every second counts based on a BLINK, the 2nd has to check with him and see if he’s considering the stupid things. 1 being injuring himself at 100% to speed things up. His bone damage is a LOT less now so it’s not something COMPLETELY out of the question. Good thing Deku is hoping to avoid his bloody mess decisions against AFS last time. And then there’s the interesting one. Is he going to use the 2nd quirk? Deku says he wants to, and the 2nd says ABSOLUTELY NOT. That’s a final gambit. So we don’t have an answer for what it is YET but we know the 2nd considers it as stupid as blowing your skin off right before the final battle.
Dabi honestly just daydreams about how Endeavor isn’t looking at him. Literally WHILE melting. And Shoto uses the weird stabilizing flame of sorts from both sides in different colors. In the manga, that shot was 2 hands of frost. He CAN use his quirk both sides however he chooses. And as I’ve said in the past because how DNA works, the ice quirk and fire quirk can’t possibly be held to any one side of the body. And he seems to have finally gotten to the point he can do it with fire and ice now at balanced levels. And he has to focus on cooling himself as Dabi literally burns the city down and is melting away.
Next time, we find out what really made Dabi.
Dabi has NO intention of leaving this battlefield alive. Just my two cents; "come and dance with me in hell, dad!" He's not at ALL interested in surviving this final bout, which is why he's so disappointed endeavours not here
@@RickOConnell327 he was quiet until season 6 but each move he makes is so risky and he laughs when he’s in pain almost. Now that he has been revealed yeah. He wants to either die with his family in front of Endeavor, or die with Endeavor.
@@Kaempfdog Thing is, I've always kind of seen Dabi as equal in importance to Shigaraki/all for one in terms of being the antagonist; more than anyone else, more than tomura even, Touya represents how hero society has failed, and the kinds of broken people that fester in the shadows, away from the shining light of heroism. He's the final evolution of Stain; while Stain still believed in SOME ideals, Dabi rejects heroism completely. He sees it all as fake, worthless, and vile, alluding to it in his first spoken lines in the show "Let's tear these false heroes off their pedestals, and in doing so, create a bright new future." It's hard to say how much he wants to improve society, but I honestly think he sees himself at least partially as a martyr, deluding himself into thinking that burning himself alive will somehow improve the world, or at least show everyone how endeavor has failed. What he hasn't counted on is Shoto, and I can't wait to see how the fight plays out
EDIT: those weren't his first spoken lines, but the first ones were he said anything that hinted at his true nature

Dabi was saying that he is gonna tell the story of how he lived after the accident because his body should have been dead within months even after having surgery done (that's what he meant regarding your question at the end of the episode reaction)

I think Toya meant how he became Dabi and came back to society as a villain with a fire Quirk arguably stronger than Endeavor’s AND Shoto’s, without “extinguishing” his own power, aka giving up and letting death or regret take him.

The thing is, I think, if Toga hadn't been forced to repress herself, her quirk and her affection could have been expressed healthily. She wants to get the blood of the ones she loves and become them. All she needs in order to do that is bit of their blood, if she had had people who helped her to control her quirk instead of telling her to just be normal, she could have became a type of sadist, who has respect for safewords and the like and just bitten them to get some of their blood to temporary become them at times without going so far as to incapasitate them. Like you said consent is the key.
But since she was constantly told to surpress her instinct it got worse and worse until she snapped, and couldn't stop anymore.
It isn't her parents fault, they didn't know how to help her, but it's tragic

I agree with everything you said except the last part. It was her parents’ fault. They abused their child from age 5, always assumed the worst of her (accusing her of things she didn’t even do) & even when she did what they wanted, it still wasn’t ever good enough, to the point they were punishing her just for the way she smiled. They were pure awful. There’s not knowing how to help properly & then just straight up being abusive non-stop & expecting your child to magically fix themselves 😅
I don’t know much about my Hero but I like Shigaraki. When he had all the hands of his family all over him. Just an interesting look. Caught my attention and I looked up his origins.
