By a low level dude when they first got to land of Asura, made no sense. Watch the series to be able to see it or just put in Falcos death.
He was still hurt after his fight in the previous arc and was kinda cheap shot'd by that thug, don't get me wrong though Falco was done dirty by the writer but at least they tried to give some reasonable explanation for it, most Nanto fighters just got punk'd to show how awesome the Hokuto Shinken is.

One of the best fights ever, I would have liked to see Ken and Falco fight together, perhaps against Io before Ken had acquired Hokuto's secrets. Falco, a character who deserved to continue with Ken, instead everyone dies and this also makes the anime lose its beauty.

@jaw_diddyyes I see, but he tied up his severed leg, I don't see how pressing a vital point can tie up his leg
@@معادالسيفي no so basically, before fist of the.north star begins, raoh (main antagonist for fotns 1) invades falcos village. falco knows if he fights raoh it will end up as a draw and they'll both die. as a sign of peace, falco offers his own leg and cuts it off. raoh agrees and leaves the village so falco now has a prosthetic leg which was removed by the asura during combat.
