    LOVE his game. Doesn't over dribble. Makes easy smart passes. Doesn't attack the rim, but he'll grow and get strong and faster. And he's not flashy with his passes, he gives the look away to control several defenders at once. That's skill at a very young age.
    Looks to have a nice lil spot up jumper too.

      ya bro stop making superficial assumptions from 2 and half minute videos

    • @whoisniilante
      @whoisniilante 10 лет назад +48

      Arjun Rama john deguzman I'm not making an assumption. I'm making an observation based of a percentage of his 8th grade year.
      And its a HIGHLIGHT video, you know, to HIGHLIGHT ones strengths. His strengths are passing, handling the ball, and hitting an open jumper. Also, his weaknesses wouldn't be HIGHLIGHTed because that defeats the purpose of the video. Hence my obersavation that he doesn't attack the rim much.

      Arjun Rama not that much

    Met Jordan in 5th grade during a video shoot for our Handle the Rock Dribbling series. He has an incredible work ethic and drive. He was so much better than all the high school kids we had in the video (they weren't slouches).

  • @dookdawg214
    @dookdawg214 9 лет назад +11

    The thing is with all these clips of really young kids with good skills... it’s just that they've matured early. That doesn't necessarily mean they have big futures in basketball. Not taking anything away from this kid -- his skills are good -- but he's playing against 8th-graders who don't know what they're doing yet. They don't move their feet on defense, they fall for every fake, they collapse on the ball too early, they don't position themselves well on the weak side, etc, etc. In four years, he’ll be a senior in high school and may have a similar game. But all the kids his age will have matured. While he’s getting scouted by colleges, he’ll be manned up by lightning-fast kids with long arms. And he’ll be balling against teams who know how to cut off the passing lanes. He’s got sound fundamentals so I’m sure he’ll still be a solid player. But there’s no reason to think he’ll be a superstar. He may not even go Division I. Or he’ll go to a low-tier Div. I school. I’ve seen this play out many times over the years. Big NCAA schools won’t recruit you as a point guard unless you’re very fast and tough as nails.

    I know a kid exactly like him he's a junior in high school now, nasty handles and passes in 8th grade (went to school with him) but i started realizing it's the same move after he did twice on the same guy so i started guarding him and shut him down. (still got nasty ass handles on tight D though) The kid in the video needs to work on new moves before it gets predictable.

    He does whatever good ball handler does get people to look at the ball and take a chance for the steal. If the person has poor or great ball skills the ball can't go any place without their body. He learned early and he makes good decisions but then again its a mix tape.
