I did a flight of Caravedo piscos last weekend. I loved the Puro Torontel. I’d describe the dominant note as a savory lemon note, not as a disinfectant. The underlying savory note is common in some grappas, such as Nardini. I couldn’t care less about cocktails, as cocktails seem like a waste of a good eau de vie.
The first 2 Caravedos are more of mixing Piscos, La Caravedo sipping Piscos come in bottles shaped like the Mosto Verde and are usually branded as Porton, which doesnt appear on your bottle. I guess the branding is a little diferent being an export. In Peru, Porton has diferent Mosto Verde bottles, like Albilla Mosto Verde or Moscatel Mosto verde, not sure which one yours is
This Mosto Verde is a blend, They re branded Porton a while back I THINK because it was confusing because of Patron Tequila. The options are a bit limited here. Thanks for your comment!
Great intro to the spirit! I'm not sure I'd go looking for the taste of lemon disinfectant, but good to see there's at least some variation between manufacturers
Lemon pledge has got to be the best note I've ever heard. Love it! Wonderful execution as always, I could listen to you describe phone book advertisements. Well done!
Your going to get an argument over where it got its name, especially from Chileans. They'll tell you there are place names in Chile as well that are Pisco along their coast, and they also say that the spirit got its name from the clay vessels it was/is stored in, which are known as piscos.
So when are you going to start the Uncle Peter Lectures series??? I really enjoyed this.
You're watching it now! lol
Just watched Zach video. This is more pisco than I ever thought I'd ever need to know but now I want to buy more.
It is pretty good! :)

Well, I can care about cocktails for both of us.
Deep dive! Very interesting stuff!
Glad you think so! Good stuff!
cant wait for the pisco sour showdown!!
probably 3 weeks out on that? Should be fun though!
Dang, Im Peruvian and I didn’t even know the difference between all of these. Thank you!
You're welcome!
It is called Pisco with P from Perú.
Pisco is 100% a peruvian spirit the other ones are just an ordinary copy from the authentic Pisco.
Sounds good

yeah That one is a bit weird, but pisco is mostly delicious.
Ayy pisco, something of favourite 😁 at least, Quebranta is so far, not loved other grape varietals like albilla or blends
Fair enough! I like the Quebranta, anf the Acholados were better than I thought.

I’m not going to argue! But this is fun information!
PISCO IS 100% ORIGINAL FROM PERU. Others are imitations.❤🤍❤
I refuse to take sides! But I secretly agree.
