On the right hand side of your router right above the blue USB port there is a black WiFi button. From the TP-Link Archer C8 manual: "Press and hold the Wi-Fi button for about 2 seconds to turn on or off the wireless function of your router."
The answer is your crappy router. TP-Link routers love to corrupt their firmware.You can reset it to factory settings by pressing the reset button for 30 seconds But it will evntually come back

sounds like the router is in bridge mode , that seems strange as you have factory reset it ? need to hook up a pc direct via eth lead
