I understand why dropping "NCT" in his introduction would change people's perception of him. Mark had not only debuted in a group that won recognition at the Asian Artists Awards in 2016, showing their success in a very competitive industry, but SM also has the best trainee program, which Mark had already been a part of for several years before his debut. So, yes, people would treat him differently, as they should. He should not only be recognized for his hard work as an SM idol, having gone through years of intense training, but he should also be held to a high standard befitting an SM idol.
Because he's an idol. The judges and some contestants are legit rappers. Being an idol means popularity. Bobby and B.I from YG got the same support in Show Me the Money. So even tho it might not have been exceptional it was better than what he got so It’s kind of sad to see how being an idol affected him. Idols are also talented people who worked hard and they should get recognition for that.
It’s sad how in reality there is this prejudice against idols’ ability in korea, not only in rap but for singning too, they are all artists and there are exceptionally great and talented artists.
Seeing this is hilarious because heis literally DOMINATING now
mark lee did well look at him now
He is EVERYWHERE😂😂😂
My mama used to say that if you want to be successful, never jealous or blame someone else for their success. Well now i got what its mean. Just because idols has tittle as rappers doesn't mean these rappers can mock someone like this duh
I know they don't know NCT there, but now NCT is getting popular and I'm glad NCT is known by many people.💓
I love his confidence!
all i want to do is hug him through the entire episode
Our Mark is so talented! You deserve more, Mark (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و
It's okay Mark, you are the best rapper I've ever known!
Idk why but here in the states some underground rappers don’t like mainstream rappers. Some think mainstream don’t write their own lyrics so they aren’t really rappers.
I for one think Mark did really well despite having to go through school and his other training and activities. If anything I’d give him props for handling all of that and then making it to the finals! He definitely is highly motivated and hard working!
He is so talented, and one more thing which makes him more even special than other left guys in the room is his handsomeness :>
he was so small here my hearttt
3:28 Why so cute Mark
That's sone real struggles 🥲😪
his rap was amazing, and he looked so little and cute ^^
see this in 2021
PROUD OF YOU MARKLEE
YOU DID WELL
💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
this is old but i just want to say that mnet edited too much. you can see that in smtm or any rap competition of mnet
Why do I feel so bad for mark.. I want to hug him.
Humble kid mark lee
Everytime I see anything from this show it reminds me of how NCT showed up and threatened the other kids for bullying Mark
Omg did they bully mark,im new here plss explain
@@studyvibes3034 yeah cause idol rappers are looked down upon as not real rappers so they were rude to him and apparently 127 visited him but they didn’t air it cause they threatened the other kids
@@tretren1468 they should be ashamed,no one should be bullied even if they are not idols....no one deserve ti get bullied
@@tretren1468 they didn’t threaten anyone. What fanfic are u reading😭
@@asdkjgf nah they did tho lol. Search it up
No problem .. Mark is still the most succes among them all
He was about to cry the sudden changes in the room is not fair
3:33 Mnet doing Mark dirty, my hearteuu
They were smiling while the was rapping but make a straight face when they know he's from NCT. 😥😥
I kinda imagine what its like if the kids here are like the season 4 contestants. S4 competition environment is way more healthy than this season. I can see mark enjoying HRS more with those S4kids.
To bad he was like 20 when it aired.
Idk but I feel like it's the MC's fault for stating that he won the best new artist awards at MAMA and stuffs. He do need advices from the judges but those facts just made people think that he's an idol and he won't do well. That's really not necessary
The fact that rn he has almost 12 million views on twitter in a 10 sec rap video .
Mark and his rap do the judge even know how to judge mark is the best and best
He is an idol
yes. we know that lol
Yep nothing but facts mark lee THE idol
You mean THE IDOL
bruh i cant watch mark sitting in that waiting room like my anxiety's been GOING UPPPPP
i feel like some of u dont understand.. mark was so young here.. and english is the language he is most fluent in. so it isnt very easy to be rapping in korean when its not his first language. which i kinda get why they were harsh and i understand why mark might have been less skilled to the others bc a big part is the language. and i could see he was so stressed because that was probably in the back of his mind mixed with being an idol on that show and being in sm. i feel like he didnt want to do the show but was forced. i felt bad for him lol
LOOK AT THIS BUBU
if marks rap wasnt good then sm wouldnt have put him in every nct unit and superm and if they could
they probably would have put him in wayv the judges or hobo's and should know their place
cuz mark is now bigger then all of them xx
After watching this in 2021, you guys underestimate him too much. Wait until you hear NCT'S MISFIT! Boom!
this video is painful to watch
The first judge was straight up just rude, like where were his faults and what could he have done better! He seemed to enjoy the performance but as soon as he heard that Mark was from NCT his tone and voice changed like what the fuck. You're supposed to judge them on their performance without mixing personal feelings and being harsh just because he is an idol. He worked as hard if not more as everyone else and should be respected for it.
The irony thing is how vocalist looks down on idol vocalist, rappers looks down on idol rappers and dancers looks down on idol dancers but they all work under idols and have gained international interest because of idols. The food they are eating, the luxurious items, the money in the credit. Every royalty they gained is through those people they look down on.
the fact that most of them giving a toxic impression toward mark srsly pissed me off. thts why i cannot help but being a toxic to the other contestant (not all of them). lolol
2:11 real life kdrama moment LOL
the staff looks like making an issue for views
If they passed Mark without critique, then that's not helping Mark, nor is it fair to all the others.
@@Kingdom_Of_Dreams but they were unnecessalary making him uncomfortable, he dyed many times tho he’s an idol he wanted to be treated as a regular highschool student wich he was , the judges seem to not take him seroius. But I mean how look at him. Most youngest richest kpop idol out there.
요즘 마크가 젤루 멋지다 진지하고 노력하는 모습이 제대로 잘 자라 주면 좋겠다
let go of the past, mark is more successful than all of the people shown in this video so don’t feel bad for mark.
Mark, you did well, really well.
Rewatch this again, and now looks how he's grown
カッコイイよマーク。良いよ。もっとビックリさせてやれ
QUE BONITO MI ESTUDIANTE😭💗❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Mark did not know Young B. So cute, haha. It’s ok, you go Mark!.
Mark is so good looking, cute and talented i love my boy Canada !
He's feeling so awkward here😭
The judges ought to listen to his rap in Jopping
mark is the best rapper now🤗
