you never answered the question, yes it take more than raw speed. It did back then and it does now. Back in the 70's when I was racing, I raced 2 or more races a weekend. friday night or saturday and sunday. it was just me, my bike and my van. I was lucky, I had a 2" pad to throw my sleeping bag on. 'hotel Dodge'" Leaving Friday heading to the races and wouldn't get back until sunday night late. then back to work in the morning.

Well results prove that too, both Champions are from a trials background and are hard Enduro Specialists. it will also depend on the locations they use on 2020, 2019 was much better than 2018 imo, far too many beach races in 18 and I still think the UK round is too long distance motocross orientated, where as in EnduroGP they have a better balance of track course layout, fast special tests like Hawkstone, but also mostly fast tight technical single track of natural features, I know it has to be exciting for fans networks don’t get racing they just want flashy stuff because they don’t appreciate the subtleties of skill require to cover natural terrain especially single track, (not hard enduro) fast, they want highways with big jumps for camera’s and easy access. Enduro is not motocross. my only criticism it’s morphing and that is not good long term.

Thomas same here man. Slept in back of my pickup on weekends. Left from work on Friday night, back to work Monday morning. Spent 3/4 of the money I made racing gp's and harescrambles. And I sucked. But I loved it. I am too bothered by the fact that dirtbike racing is nearly phasing out singletrack. We just don't get the singletrack dirtbike only stuff around here anymore. We share with side by sides. I want more singletrack. Less mx, and less 4wheel trail.
