Co-founder, singer song writer Myles Goodwyn who has lead the band since '69, has just this month, March '23, retired from touring with April Wine. Excellent catalog of music. 16 studio albums, multiple Live recordings and Greatest Hits compilations. Certainly one of the best bands to come from Canada.
That’s how we did back in the day. This and all the others. We Rocked 24/7! I even saw this tour! I saw APRIL WINE live in concert 3 times back then! We had serious jams! Better than anything now. People actually could play and perform it live.
Saw this band 2x , first time ran into the guitar player with the brown shirt and cream color pants on the right. On my way to get a drink we did cheers toast and went on our way 😎👍🏻 Gypsy Queen is a cool one
April Wine was so underrated, they were fire and very versatile when you listen to their catalog. My dad turned me onto them when I was a wee lad and bought me the vinyl Harder, Faster.
LMAO, can't believe April Wine is getting recognized. Saw them so many times in bars, at family day events, in arenas, they always rocked, always had fun.
love April Wine right from '69 just a good time R&R outfit. great sounds. listen to "Ooow What a Night". another guitar driven song. keep up doing a great job.
I always thought even though they had some radio play and hits that they were still underrated. I like to Rock is awesome - I'd like it to be remastered though, somebody was sleeping at the production wheel despite same studio as RUSH for Moving Pictures
Everybody in Canada knows April Wine, lots of Americans as well. Trivia Note: On the opening day of MTV, only three artists had five airplays: The Who, Phil Collins and April Wine.
@@andyreid6826 They had two songs in the rotation, the first Just Between You and Me was the 14th song played on MTV, next came Sign of the Gypsy Queen at 57
Ok, I have to correct myself. On the first day of MTV, April Wine is one of only three groups to have five airplays of the same song (Just Between You and Me). For total airplays the day was owned by Rod Stewart and REO Speedwagon. April Wine was still impressive in the list of total airplays for the opening day with the addition of Sign of The Gypsy Queen being played twice. So for total airplays we have: Rod Stewart 16, REO Speedwagon 15, The Pretenders 11, The Who 9, April Wine 7, Split Enz 7. Still a good showing by AW.
Thanks Brother 😉😎☮️🍻
This Blunt is for you! Be cool ✌️
That's the way we Canadians rocked back in the day.
Good old Canadian boys❤🇨🇦

Saw them loads of times, great party band. :)
I've been to dozens of April Wine shows over the decades. Myles Goodwin actually just retired from the band last week officially.
I was in Truro to see the show, awsome
Don't Push me Around by April Wine is great tune I don't think there's a video but it's great
3 guitars and Bass
I always thought even though they had some radio play and hits that they were still underrated. I like to Rock is awesome - I'd like it to be remastered though, somebody was sleeping at the production wheel despite same studio as RUSH for Moving Pictures
The best band you have never heard tell of.

Another great Canadian band is Triump - Lay it on the Line
Colin James Voodoo Thing 😊
When they grew up in the 80s they became ZZ Top
"Roller" Not about a spirited young girl. "She" is all about the city of Las Vegas.
PLEASE PLEASE REACT TO LED ZEPPELIN - STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN. best band best rock song EVER......
Not only are they Canadian but they are from the east coast made up of Atlantic Provinces. Sorta like Maine, Vermont, Connecticut
Check out Sign of the Gypsy Queen, Just between you and me.
Gambling ! This song is about gambling 😊
One hit wonders
Actually they have tons of hits
That's a big Nope.
@stevejennings1809 Troll, bot or idiot?
If you think Roller is FILTHY, Check out April Wine - 21st Century Schizoid Man
THIS. I can't imagine how complicated it must have been to arrange that song. Props to King Crimson for coming up with it but AW's version decimates.
