Lol I've done longboarding, MTB, skateboarding, gymnastics, and other sports, but have only broken my wrist while riding an EUC 😅 wrist guards may not be utterly essential but if you're trail riding pretty fast it's a good idea
Hey Bergs! Don't forget to ask begode for the new top panel. Mine gets here soon. They added heat fins for the mosfets and they stay cool now. As it is now it overheats
@@TheBergMan Nice! I just installed mine and definitely see a temp improvement. Just be very careful not to strip the screws, or to break the magnets. And take care to align the waterproofing gasket (I used a thin plastic pick for that). Take it slow!
Finally back with content dude! unfortunately I sold mine after 2 weeks - the tire clearance was just too small for the amount of rocks and gravel on my roads that clank around in the wheel well. I much prefer having the mten4 and falcon as separate devices with more specialized uses - mten5 for me felt like the middle ground of their weaknesses (not enough range, and too heavy). IMO my 16S still has much better ergonomics, range and convenience - only weaknesses are the tiny motor and narrow tire. Now that I know filling a space between my mten4&falcon core isn't ideal, I'm hoping a 40mph/sub-75lb Patton/V14 type of machine comes out soon to top off my arsenal
@bondo31 bro for sure. Falcon on gravel is way more realistic than mten5. I wouldn't take my mten5 onto gravel. It has too much torque for a small diameter wheel; I would be slipping everywhere and bouncing along 😆
Man i love the mten series of wheels but since begode released the falcon i find myself maybe leaning towards that more, since i love offroading on tiny wheels so much, i feel the suspension is almost necessary for how i would want to use it. Whats your opinion on this, is the falcon just gonna be better all around for my use case?
@@ryangross5446 I would ONLY do the falcon if you can get an offroad tire for it (since you plan on offroading). It definitely needs it. Great on roads, but I can't offroad in the GRASS with it 😆
@@TheBergMan yeah I'd definitely put one on if I couldn't find it pre installed. I can do any work on any wheels, ever since I rebuilt my v11 every other wheel is childs play haha. I put 2 new inner shell halves in, that was a ton of work
@spikebbc the prototype I rode in China overheated. I was also pushing it hard. Mine (now in texas) has yet to exceed 60°C and I've ridden it pretty hard. I have also seen the overheating issues, but I have not experienced it with my new wheel
I can't help it, but the tire looks like it is on backwards and spins against it intended running direction. As rule of thumb they say, if a tire has v-shaped grooves, they look like an arrow where they meet and should point down when you look at it from the front. Having that backwards results in more tire wear and is a lot less safe to ride. Can you check if there is a running direction indicator on the tires sidewall? I would hate to have to fix such an issue right out of the box.
Shouldn't really matter, but isn't it really the opposite? Look at motorcycle front tires. Grooves are for water. When upright, water is displaced to both sides. When in a turn, the grooves should expel water to the outside of the turn. Upside down V on front tire accomplishes that. V pointing to the ground would push water toward the inside of the turn, no bueno.
Yup, you are right in that an EUC is like half a motorcycle. But in my eyes it is the rear half, as it is the powered wheel. The front of a motorcycle is nonpowered. And for the back tire the V is not upside down or inverted. But that is why I was asking for the running direction indicator on the tire.
Since You had chance to try the griffin what was main reason to pick it up over the ET MAX( except those cool handle bars but thats aethethics). Thank you
@AlweinxPL griffin and ET Max are WAY WAY different wheels. Griffin rides nice and easy, feels way lighter than et max. ET Max required a lot of throwing my weight forward and backwards to accelerate or stop. It would be great for a heavier rider that wants insane power. Griffin is more my style
Hope the next video on MTEN5 with your 2nd (third) impressions will come soon. Do you follow rumor of MTEN5 upgrade due to warm alert? People mentioned either aluminium heat sink on a new board cover to replace the current one, either a new board version with more mosfets (such as next version of A2+ and maybe MTEN4), etc. Maybe you may have more information due to your past Begode contacts.
@rdouvi I was offered a replacement heat sink. But I rode this mten5 hard in 105°F weather and it didn't get over 65°C... I overheated the machine in China on a prototype. But mine doesn't seem to get too hot. Video soon, I've just been so busy with new job

Even if it is similar speed to running, in certain terrains one wouldn't run full speed, so the same would go for a wheel for example, it depends on where you are.
Why would Begode say to store a wheel at 100% charge? Is there something that drains the batteries while in storage? Everything I have ever seen says Lithium batteries should be stored at 50% state of charge.
@djwhiteflour I know nothing about batteries my man haha engineers told me to store at full capacity, it helps with the longevity somehow. Im actually gunna Google this later lol
Yep 50% is best for the battery health however they should NEVER go below 2.5v per cell. I guess Begode is thinking there will always be some drain so if you are going to store for a year better to fully charge.
