This video is one of my all-time favorites. I come back to it every now and then, but I don’t remember if I’ve ever commented. FFXV has always been bittersweet to me. I still think the story and characters are amazing, but the storytelling due to development issues really hindered the game’s potential. You captured Noctis’s story perfectly though! The video also reminded me how much I love the Chocobros bond. I’m not really sure what more to say other than you did an amazing job! 💙 I think this may also remind people of the positives of FFXV. 😊

I'm commenting AGAIN even more years later to say that though I have not been in the mood to replay FF15 even once since I finished it (maybe eventually, the annoying bits kinda outweigh the fantastic in my memory unfortunately) I HAVE been in the mood for this video several times just because it is SO DAMN GOOD, and such an amazing distillation of the very best FF15 moments. I can understand that people are upset that a lot of story was cut out and rewritten to meet a deadline. But the story in XV is no where near bad. The fact that people constantly bitch that they want more, Shows it isnt bad. If it was bad, You wouldnt want more. I think what people are upset about is the potential that XV has to tell one of the best and most heartening stories in an RPG. Even if it was hit or miss for people, XV has one of the best casts I have seen in a game in a long time. XV is a fantastic title. And they nailed it when it comes to camaraderie. Great video btw.

agh...god it will never not get to me how the ages mentioned lined up so freaking perfectly until the 60 years old one when it hits like a sledgehammer that Noctis never lived beyond 30, and so many goddamn characters died before reaching this age or that sort of lifestyle where they COULD reflect on their life and wonder if they have everything that will make them happy, bc almost everyone died personally unfulfilled even if some went down knowing that this would eventually lead to the salvation of mankind. It's just...never not going to hurt to think about these characters we grew so attached to never getting the opportunity to live their lives for themselves, never getting to be truly happy bc looming over them, even in the moments of levity, was the current struggle that seems to unavoidably end in impending tragedy. Noctis' brothers are really the only ones who maybe got the chance to go on and eek out a real life for themselves in the new dawn, and that's SOUL CRUSHING
