She went on to try to raise two boys to the best of her ability. She pushed on. She hurt everyday. It impacted both my brother and I. She taught us both, that life can be better. It was six years ago today that I lost my momma to cancer, she was my best friend and I miss her every day. Before she passed away she would listen to this and my first Thanksgiving without her I was driving home and it came on the radio I had to pull over because I was crying so hard but towards the end of the song I realized why she played it for me before she passed. After being lost for 47 days and nights we got her back! She survived in frigid temperatures with snow, and NO Claws. She weighed half the weight from before but no frostbite Thank God! We actually trapped her! Prayers do sometimes work! And I'm just a little bit "Stitious". But not "SUPERstitious". Lol!

I’d be in the kitchen getting dinner ready, and I could hear both my son and his dad talking up a storm, laughing at something, one of them said. Once he got his daddy fix, he say “See you tomorrow, dad, and yell at me that he’d see me tomorrow mom, love yous”. We lost his dad back in Oct 2006, and my son misses him so much. It's going to hurt in ways I won't be able to imagine. One day something great will happen to me at work and I'll want to call someone to tell them about it. I'll pull out my phone, go to my contacts, and instinctively select "Dad". I'll pause for a moment and break down all over again. That is what I fear the most about losing a parent. I grew up with a mom who was abused in all conciveable ways, by my grandfather and uncle. She went through hell. The type of hell none of us can imagine. She went on to try to raise two boys to the best of her ability. She pushed on. She hurt everyday. It impacted both my brother and I. She taught us both, that life can be better. Mom tried her damndest despite the torture she endured. Mom, everyone cries, sometimes. RIP 1957-2016.

It was six years ago today that I lost my momma to cancer, she was my best friend and I miss her every day. Before she passed away she would listen to this and my first Thanksgiving without her I was driving home and it came on the radio I had to pull over because I was crying so hard but towards the end of the song I realized why she played it for me before she passed. 🙏Lydia. I also love this song. I sent this to my son. He and his dad were so close. My son use to stop in every day after work, to visit for a half hour or an hour. I’d be in the kitchen getting dinner ready, and I could hear both my son and his dad talking up a storm, laughing at something, one of them said. Once he got his daddy fix, he say “See you tomorrow, dad, and yell at me that he’d see me tomorrow mom, love yous”. We lost his dad back in Oct 2006, and my son misses him so much. I know he is still hurting over the loss of his dad. I also miss him. Hoping this song will be helpful to him.

It's going to hurt in ways I won't be able to imagine. One day something great will happen to me at work and I'll want to call someone to tell them about it. I'll pull out my phone, go to my contacts, and instinctively select "Dad". I'll pause for a moment and break down all over again. That is what I fear the most about losing a parent. They don't get to continue watching you grow. Everything that happens to you from that point onwards, they will miss. My heart goes out to anyone hanging in there after losing their mom or dad.

I'm a combat Vietnam Veteran (2/502 Infantry, 101st Airborne) ... I just got back out of the hospital. I'm alone, all my Veteran Friends have died, mostly Agent Orange issues, like mine ... also my wife ... I'm alone. Don't need pity,just a little piece.

Hang on there all people. My old boss used to cry whenever this song was on in the radio of the shop we worked. They played his boyfriend’s funeral this song. I really feel for him (my boss) now whenever I hear this song. So much so that I didn’t care his grief then. I was disgusted by him. I guess I was a very young man from different culture. I wish I could meet him and apologise to him.

How I wish I could just be free of the monsters in my head, but I still fight to make it to the end of the day and make it to the next. @Paul Morgan I was in Sweden when i first heard this song 2 decades ago in tears,i don't know but..just a couple of months my bf and i had broke up...it broke my heart so much.The pain that i had experienced almost killed me...I thought it was the end!But i was wrong....I am now happy with my family!God lifted me up from the mess!
