With how DreamWorks made MvA, they took risks by making things large scale and had an engaging story with action scenes. But other than Despicable Me, Universal's main animation studio, Illumination, focus their films to be more "gimpy" and more aimed at kids, with low-brow humor, rather than focusing on adventure, action, clever humor, engaging stories, and characters with depth. With that logic, no wonder Trolls got a sequel. So to say whether MvA will get a sequel, it's hard to say.
