- Recently, there's been a lot of controversy surrounding the release of Kokomi Sangonomiya. Today, I wanted to go into why healers like Kokomi have been so controversial. For me, at least, it boils down to the game design of healers. They're not necessarily bad but over time the role has evolved and its no longer about just being a healer bot. Hopefully going forward the Genshin Game Devs can make more dynamic healers.

When I played labyrinth warriors, I realized that issue is more with healers lacking content where they are useful than other factors. If there was a larger dungeon as end-game content you would appreciate healers lot more.
oh yeah totally agree with that! In general, the healers feel a lot better in multiplayer content. And with Qiqi and Barbara having revives built into their constellations maybe Mihoyo is planning more multiplayer content like raid,etc. So far with Labyrinth warriors and corrosion, I feel like they are taking a step in the right direction.

there's a difference between making a healer that can helps the team with way too much utility and releasing a healer that decapitates all her limbs and cripples her entire kit into a healer that's even sub par to an existing 4* whose job is to only heal.
Agreed! She’s extremely limited with what she can do
the reason why heal isn't been use until corrosion is because the design shield been op. we are seeing mob that do piercing shield, or corrosion. i guaranteed that dentro will have move thing that similar or higher. problem is game is so simple that dps only matter.
I think Kokomo was mhy making us prepared for corrosion in sumeru ( or just dendro enemies n bosses) but I think it was too early to ready players for it
Yeah definitely agree with that. They might also have future characters that synergize with her planned for later releases. I just love how pretty her abilities are 😍

goddamn these people don't know that not every character has to have a dps kit. She's built as a healer, these people expect healers to do more damage damn..
wait no let me rephrase that, Kokomi and other support characters are intended for support and not dps by Mihoyo, although you can still make her a dps if you want. Not every character has to do nuke damage
She’s definitely way better as a support/healer. Been lovin using her as my main healer!
Nice vid, many valid points. I mite be crazy, but i think mihoyo mite change up the game in the future to make characters like koko more useful, ngl i looked at some vids on cough “predictions” :) they mite add some new enemies. Who knows tho, anyhow i really liked ur vid.
