You know as a student pilot myself, switching from the 152 to 172 Skyhawk 2, the 172 definitely is more fun to fly than the 152 because of it’s more powerful engine and better climbing performance. But both aircrafts are the flying backbone of a student Pilot’s aircraft fleet to begin with.
The only 172 that flies 160kn is the cutlass with retractable gear of which only a few were built. The vast majority of 172s fly a max speed of 126 kn, whereas max cruise is 120. Same as the 152. 120kn is the special version with upgraded engines with higher compression. Most 152s have max cruise speed of 107kn, coming down to 90 kn for flight planning.
I took lessons in both. I love the 172, but my finances are limited. The 150 & 152 should still be mate. keep it simple like steam gages. who would not want a glass copit! The plant should still have it type rating. keeping simple you should have byers lined up.

I would fly the 172 for my PPL training right now but the 152 is already hurting my wallet lol
I'm a fan of aircraft that carry 50+ passengers but thanks for teaching me about smaller planes
you can tell them apart by the gears.
2:51 so the 152 is free
Thank you today I am switching from 152 to 172. Let’s see ;)
Thanks for the video
All the best
