My grandson is autistic. Seeing this baber actually brought tears to my eyes. He has all the time in the world for him and also talks and listens to him, not anyone else at that moment. He's lovely, we need more like him.
Those tik toks of people butchering their hair with garden tools, kitchen utensils, and fire are so cringworthy. I feel sorry for the clients. The melted mess of burnt hair is just such a shame. My hairdresser just told me yesterday about a client that lied about bleaching and then re colouring her hair before coming in for a perm. She left with a pixy cut😅
The kid and the barber playing stop-and-go was so important. The barber is teaching the value of consent by stopping when the child says so, and asks permission to start again. That is just so critical, I'm so happy to see things like that!
Yes, that’s such a great way to teach a child it’s ok to say “stop” also, they have a right to refuse touch or non-vital treatment they don’t want. It also makes hair cuts a positive experience which he will remember as he gets older & so makes it easier to care for his hygiene
I love hearing you react. You're so warm and compassionate. You don't look at people ruining their hair and find it funny--you see it through a lens of sympathy. Your appreciation for the barber that cut the boy's hair was so lovely, and your condemnation of the stylist that permed the little baby's hair was so on point. Love your videos! ❤
I’m sorry. That woman who permed her baby’s hair is an idiot! She wouldn’t have her hair permed while she was pregnant, but it’s ok to perm the baby? Next, that baby will be tattooed.
I was horrified that my granddaughter had her ears pierced as an infant. But perms are poison! Like giving your kid cancer! Tattoos in many cultures are common, I hope they don't become common here.
@@cbryce9243 and the horrible thing about piercing a baby's ears is when they grow, so do the ears, and they become lopsided. It happened to me, my nana took me when my mom was working and I had to get double love peircings to fix it because that's how lopsided they grew to be!

My autistic son won’t go to a barber anymore, they have all been terrible. One even asked “what’s wrong with him?” Another invalidated him when he was in tears and got short with him. Awful. Lovely to see a decent barber who knows what to do.
Ooh, I struggled with the same issue as a kid, I'm autistic too. My mom went to so many different hair salons with me, she was so ashamed of me crying terribly every single time that she did not want to go back to any place we've already been to 😬

8:00 I love this! My son (he is autistic) is not able to go to the hairdresser yet (he touches the scissors and clippers). He will let me give him a basic cut but it takes us a few sessions over a couple of days because he has really thick and dense hair and he gets overwhelmed.
My friend opened the spy hole of a kiln in our ceramics class in college to see how the glaze firing was looking. He ended up burning off some of his bangs and his eyebrows. It was definitely firing those glazed pieces. My mom has also blown out candles and set her hair on fire. Smelled awful!
I have hair that goes to about the middle of my back and it is completely incomprehensible to me how someone would be unaware of the position of their hair around an open flame. I am terrified of my hair catching fire and hyperaware of any open flames around my head because of that.
6:46 Even if I am Caucasian, I have frizzy curly hair. I have the same look of hair, whenever my dad said "please brush your hair before going to school!" Well, dad. That was not the solution 😂

I totally agree with adults doing total crazy madness to their own hair but the mother perming that baby/ toddler’s hair is very wrong on many levels. What if that child took a very bad allergic reaction to the different chemicals and went into shock. 😢
For him to do that for kids in general especially with special needs is awesome. The adults with special needs are just like the kids where they need some help with that sometimes as well. I legit jumped with with eyebrow waxing toward the end of the video because I felt that pain
I wish you would have told my mother not to perm my 6 - 12 year old head back in the 1960's! Love your channel HB! I yell "Noooooo" right along with you!
The hairdresser with the kid was amazing. The kid was so happy, it made what could be a negative experience into a fun, positive one. That’s really important for people with intellectual disabilities because of course they’re gong to need hair care all their lives and if they’re traumatized as kids it’ll be so much harder for them as adults.
I really don't know why they are using hedge clippers!? Do they think it is so impressive!? The men, at the very end, pulled a very cruel prank. Happy Friday HB 🐰
Hey Hello Hair Buddha! Could you please address the Problem of Smelly heads and how they get that way and how to correct it? Also maybe some news on how to care for Grey hair. Thanks for all the information videos!
Hedge clippers! Hahaha. I have a picture of me when I was around 5-6 (almost 40 years ago) when I trimmed my own hair with hedge clippers right down to the scalp. I remember I couldn’t figure out how my parents could tell I did that. They practically had to give me a buzz cut. … and I’m a girl. 😂
This was a great video! The Stop-,n- Go Barber made my day! And those clips of people's hair catching fire? Yeah, that actually happened to me! The back of my hair had fallen into a candle flame (long story, just go with it) at a friend's apartment. He looked up and yelled "Oh my God!!" Then he tackled me to the ground and wrapped his hands and arms around my head. The whole back of my head was on fire. He got me just in time - no burns to my scalp, just a lot of burnt, melted, stinky hair. Good guy.
When I was young mom and dad and my aunt and uncle were in a bowling league. Back then you were allowed to smoke in public buildings. My aunt was smoking and set her hair on fire. She used to use copious amounts of Aquanet Hairspray on her hair. The flame spread across her hair quickly. She put out the flame. She had a good sense of humor and just laughed about it. It definitely created an impression! 🔥
The guy who does special needs kids' hair is just fantastic, the fact that he understands them so well to make them feel in control (which can be such a big deal for a lot of kids, but especially special needs children) and also to make it a game like a red light green light to make it fun. And the fact that the rest of the shop was empty so they won't be overstimulated if that is a problem for them. It is setting them up to be successful adults without fear of a haircut. My dental hygienist helped set my kids up for success with the dentist (it helped that I don't have dental fear, I actually enjoy my teeth cleanings it is like a massage in my mouth) but when I had my daughter I would just hold her in my lap while getting my teeth cleaned and then when she was big enough (around 18 months or 2 years maybe) after I was done the hygienist put her in the chair and told her it was her turn for her first big girl ride in the dental chair, she put it all the way down and then all the way up, showed her how the lights worked, showed her the tools, let her hold the little mirror while she opened her mouth and counted her teeth, let her do a swish and spit with the water squirter and that was it. It took maybe 2-3 minutes and she got a sticker for her first big girl dental check-up but it set her up to make dental visits easy even though she has texture issues with food and things in her mouth. And when she was a little older she had to have underneath her tongue clipped due to a tongue tie. We did the same with my son 2 years later and they have both been easy kids at the dentist, even when he had to get a cavity filled.
My mom was a stylist and did a perm on me when I was 6. Luckily it went fine and didn't harm me. The 80s were wild though, they were still smoking in the house at that time.
The video with the guy getting his head seemingly and completely waxed has the "Fabiosa" logo to the bottom. IIRC, they're run by the same company behind "5 minutes craft" (or at least their way of showing "hacks" is exactly the same). That should say all about the "authenticity" of those vids.

I have a special needs brother who is 65yrs old. The barber with the little boy? Almost made me cry with the way he was able to reach the boy where HE is as opposed to the way so many people act like they’re trying to get them to come around to THEIR way of thinking. At 9:50 if you're laying hands on my very Mediterranean eyebrows like that I'm laying my hands on you, and not to heal, quite the opposite. I bleed from the roots everytime I tweeze, thread or wax them I can't imagine how much it must've hurt!
That man who had his eyebrow ripped off while sleeping. I would consider that assault. What a horrible thing to do to someone.
I agree especially with the amount they applied how it was over the eyelid like that they could have done damage.
Cutting someones hair or beard by force is considered assault
The video of barber cutting the child's hair was so uplifting and a joy to watch
Yes I loved it 🥰
