Great job! Just did mine today. Video gave me a general consensus on what had to be done to convert them. But instead of chopping up my bracket I simply used a 1/4 drill bit on the hump and simply got rid of it. Thanks for the info and vid my man!
'Nah wouldn't drill mine either. My Tenere levers have stayed in place for 10 000km with just double sided tape under them. Drilling holes also makes the bars that little bit more fragile.
Man, I was talking about the bending on reddit and felt like stupid as a lot of people pretended that the stock bars don't bend at all. was around 3-5km/h, dropped it -> bars bend.
They bent pretty easy but I was going kinda fast and I think they would have been worse without the hand guards on them, I spent a lot of money on upgrades so far, I wasn’t going to upgrade the bars until they bent. Now I see it as a more important upgrade.
I'd recommend not grinding the tabs off, do it properly and drill holes as everyone else does. If you don't manage to get it to sit tightly you'll have to replace both controllers.

Nice job, beautiful work, looks great.
I did the same thing with the two-sided rubber tape… that’s solid…it’s not going to move
Aha, Rubbertape! That's what I need. THANK YOU!!!!!

how much higher than stock is this?
Looks good. Did you have to run any new lines?
Thanks , No I didn’t have to run new cables but I would mention that these hand guards are not a perfect fit for the 300
What’s the bend if the bars?
You have the CR High bars and risers, right?
Yeah that’s right, 2” bar risers , I purchased them for the original bars and now I think they sit higher
