nah oscsars biggest pay per view was with floyd and it was because of floyd , floyd was the draw in all these fights , only manny pulled his own weight to be honest because of his country behind him.
@i_hate_simps_2608 Very wrong. Oscar had broken every PPV record for a non heavyweight before Floyd. That was Floyd first big PPV and Golden Boy promoted Floyd’s next 8 fights turning Floyd into a star
@@i_hate_simps_2608no Floyd wasn't. Look at Floyd Mayweathers numbers pre De La Hoya and post. If not for Oscar, Floyd would be like Crawford or Spence level in terms of popularity
I am not a fan of boxing. But my top male hero of all time is Muhammad Ali. My field is arts and entertainment which allows me to have a deep interest and amount of respect for the "whole story" behind our greatest athletes. Perhaps there is no better way to tell that story than the arts, especially via film, TV and even theater. Before Chadwick Boseman, the real Jackie Robinson played himself in a movie. Ditto Ali before Will Smith. Even Mike Tyson did a one-man theater piece directed by Spike Lee. Very intriguing. I plan on seeing Oscar de la Hoya's documentary as well. It sounds much more powerful and cathartic than any punch he could ever throw.
"Everything I touch turns into gold"
Oh definitely! Mayweather and Pacquiao became box office hits right after they fought Dela Hoya.

@@i_hate_simps_2608Proof that Mayweather casuals know absolutely _nothing_ about boxing, lmfao.
