The time I spend with my phone I should spend reading...
Iván Egües same 🤭
I read on my phone, lol.
Very true....I think that's why my father say that one should never timepass with any gadget. Because it is for serving us not for consuming or mastering us.
I do this a lot too, especially when I take breaks to go on my phone after reading. I recommend audiobooks or iBooks on apple phones :)
Iván Egües that is probably truest sentence i've read on the internet EVER
Omg, that photo of Hermione is everything!
Self portrait lol
Yes! It is awesome.
This is what I think of every time I'm answering way too many questions from the teacher.
Menina Milenia everything?
+James Field ikrrrr
For those who just want the answer (I still recommend listening to Granger since it's less than 5 min):
1. Read in the morning and evening
2. Read when you're traveling
3. Read while you're waiting around
4. Basically just read more by just reading as often as possible
5. Set a page goal to reach by the end of the day but read more anyway.
6. Enjoy what you are reading and alternate between books that interest you to those that don't.
Since you are already reading this you might as well get off RUclips and read that book now! No distractions just books!
Will power! let's go!
Thank you!
Thank you Angel lol
no! more fight on the comment section of youtube!
And you didn't even need to make an annoying video boasting about the amount of books you read.
I work about 14 hours a day and as a teacher generally am expected to prepare classes in my free time, I have kids to look after and after my work day also teach privately to make up my poor salary. I used to cycle to work and over the last two years worked 9 hours a day without a single break.
Sooooo reading was a challenge when it used to be all I ever did.
Any please people, don't read Harry Potter and think you've read something.
Read ....
Camus
Marquez
Carson McCullers
Dylan Thomas
John Steinbeck
Nietchze
Llorca
anything by a Russian Author preferably Bulgakoc
Margaret Atwood
Dickens
DH Lawrence
Arundhati Roy
Anyway, those are the highlights after a few glasses of wine.
Potter's alright for a movie but don't think of it as serious reading. Unless you're under 12
+Sidemony
to be honest, I was a little hard on Harry. The writing quality and story lines are excellent so I would recommend them for improving langauge, but if you want to read to learn about life and become a better person then there are better things to read.
Any reading activity will improve your cognitive ability, just not necessarily feed you great ideas worthy of thinking about.
Yes Austen definitely and the Brontes (Wuthering Heights is a masterpiece).
I have read (In English of course) The Stranger (Outsider) and The Plague.
You're writing in a second language. Excellent. I teach English and also speak spanish as I live in South America. Reading is where we can enrich our language skills.
One of my favourite books, Le Grande Meaulnes. read it 30 years ago.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Grand_Meaulnes
Currently reading, Wolf Solent so from one very French book to a very English one.
Did anyone noticed ...
She is talking like Hermione....
And her hairstyle too
Exactly lol even her voice lol
and her surname is the same
anouk ferwerda thats not her real surname!
marissa look at famous birthdays!
anouk ferwerda that’s still not her real name
I find it bizarre that a few people in this comment section believe you need to read 102 books in a year to be a good reader.
I consider reading 30-40 books in a year to be a crazy high number. When I read I like to take my time with a book (that I enjoy) I'll re-read sections along the way, make small notes about things in the book and after I've finished a book I'll take a week to reflect on it.
Reading should be about finding a book you will love and getting as much enjoyment from it as possible not approached as
a number to hit in the shortest time which some people seem to think, especially in the Booktuber community.
To me, reading 102 books doesn't mean much if I haven't enjoyed them how I want to enjoy them.
It's great to want to read more if you never read or only read 1-2 books in a year, but for those reading this that "only read" 30-50 books that are putting themselves down because they don't read 102 books, don't feel down! Reading 12 books a year (300-500 pgs) is already a fantastic accomplishment, and I personally believe that some part of the enjoyment of reading gets lost when you begin to get to the triple digits in a year.
Agree! I especially like to take my time after I've finished a book to reflect and appreciate it a little more (and to keep the story alive for a little longer!). Jumping to another book immediately feels too rushed and makes me feel a bit disrespectful to the book I read prior to it. So it's totally okay to read at your personal pace and with your personal habits, whatever suits you :)
chocolate chunk you are very correct! That's what I do too!
And I haven't read as much as Ruby has I have read 32 books until now but I really enjoy them and I think that's a perfect number for me !
Luca Dolan Ruiz I strongly agree but Ruby is just showing the people that want to read a lot even if it isn't the best idea. I also think that if you read around 100 books a year then you will struggle to find books you like. All I'm saying is that Ruby is just answering a highly asked question and also in no way am I trying to be rude I'm just trying to state my ( very similar to yours ) opinion :)
Yes, I only aim to read a book a month (at the least) and I'm not too fussed that 12 is such a tiny number because personally I have accomplished my goal of 12!
Summed up tips as I undertood them:
1) set aside time to read
2) read when you're traveling between places
3) always have a book with you
4) use page goals per day ie: read until page 49
5) love what you're reading
6) alternating between heavy and light novels helps you with the mood throughout the day
You are totally like Hermione
JAWAD UL KABIR yeah
this is what i think durin watching this video
JAWAD UL KABIR may be she also like hermione , see pic in wall and her haircut
I think so. True. :)
I think that's exactly the reason of the Hermione's picture in her side. She did it on purpose.
Hey, I just discovered your channel out of accident. I know this sounds silly, but you remind me a lot of myself when I was about your age. For the last couple of years I've been battling severe depression, and I essentially gave up on everything I enjoyed, especially reading. Seeing some of your videos rekindled something in me, and for that I am rather grateful. I wish you all the best in everything you wish to take on, you're absolutely lovely :).
Get well soon honey
I hope you are better now and if not then I hope you get well, keep fighting
Keep going there’s better to come!
Lol you're actually like Hermione.
ikr even her mannerisms and the way she speaks
IKR
She also have a poster of hermione behind her.
And her second name is granger?? Is that actually her second name??
Haha she does, I immediately subscribed
DID I JUST FIND THE IRL VERSION OF HERMIONE?!?
Yes
Yup.
Great to see someone who allot their time for books instead of technology
What did the librarian tell the kid?

I can read more than 2000 books per year. They just need to be children books with lots of pictures~
Guys, stop trying to read many books and just try to pick one and actually enjoy it.
bybyrei don’t be jealous
ror ror I don't think you understood my comment. There's no reason I'd be jealous of her.
bybyrei what do you mean there’s no reason? She’s absolutely intelligent woman! anyway i kinda agree with you there are some people who read so many books just to show off but I don’t think that’s the case with her, there’re people who are very passionate about reading and you can easily tell she’s one of them
ror ror Even if she's personally passionate about reading, the title of this video gives off a very wrong idea and same goes for her stating how many books she reads per year. That is because the number of books you read is completely and utterly irrelevant. What matters is that you find challenging and enjoyable readings that help you develop new ideas and understand new concepts. As I said, you could read 1000 children books with 2 words each and you would've still read 1000 books.
"She reminds me of Hermione Granger", I thought. Then I looked behind her.
You amaze me. Your English is so well spoken because of you reading so many books. Keep up the good work as always.
Ram or because she’s copying Granger
Where is she from?
tips:
- set aside a time every day when you are going to read (she reads when she wakes up for 15-30 minutes & before she goes to sleep for 1-3 hours)
- read when you’re travelling
- always have a book with you
- use a page flag to say how much you want to read in a day
- love what you’re reading
When I first watched this , I was stunned. I was inspired to read 100 books a year. Guess what? I read 95 books so far and almost done with my goal. Thank you so much for this video! ❤
Edit : already finished reading 103 books! So proud of this 🌚 thanks!
1. Set time for reading
2. Read while travelling
3. Always carry a book with you
4. Use page markers to set goals for the day
5. Read books that you love
6. Switch between heavy and light literature to keep your mood throughout the day.
7. In order to read faster you need to read more.
8. Always keep a book beside your bed
These tips are brilliant, lots of love,,,,❤️🦄
Really? I don't see this video offering very useful concept like speed reading or building knowledge framework, knowledge map something like this. I learn nothing. But I think her presentation is good anyway.
read more doesn't equal knowing more, you just need a good memory if you wanna remember stuff you read, but reading takes time to assorb every feeling the author try to convey,it's not a race
Indeed.
You're exactly the type of person I would want to be friends with, Ruby! I simply love books and I found myself smiling in agreement when you explained that an hour of reading can turn easily into three hours as I can identify with this. I love the videos! Xx
This is a stout example of how having a role model can help someone aspire to be like them and succeed.
List of books that you would recommend?
Neha Sah That would be such a good idea!
I’d love to see that!!
Yes.
Yes this would be really inspiring !!
Good idea. I could give my 50 of my favourite books (and make a group on Goodreads as well!). If you do want recommendations from me - I do post a few reviews on my Goodreads account (Ruby Granger) x
*I read one book in 3 months* 😂😂
I read 12 books in 3 months (not much)
Paige Manning rip I read one book in like two weeks, and they’re not even that big just 300-400 pages or so 😅
I dont remember when was the last time i finished reading one book.😇😇
I read 3 in one xd
Books are Shit. We live in 21 century. There is netflix
Maybe it would be a good idea to have a book club! At the start of each month you could recommended a book you would like to read then we could read it along side you, and at the end of the month you could compile your thoughts into a video! X
jessviolet yesss!!!
I have a problem with reading in public, I find myself getting very easily distracted with people talking and noises, so when I realize, I'm paying attention in conversations instead of in the words. Do you guys think that it gets better with practice?
Olívia Funo if you put on music it might help
Ninjabread okay, will try it. Thanks for your suggestion!
Olívia Funo Oh, that happens to me too! It's very hard for me to concentrate when I'm alone because of my ADD, let alone in public. Try to listen to instrumental music. And create some playlists with songs that you can relate with the book you're reading. You can even find some in Spotify.
Sorry for my English lol
Andrea O. I had never thought of the music that has the book's feeling, wow, gonna try it. Thanks!
Olívia Funo yes to music playlists! Or to white noise ! Ambient mixer is amazing for mood noises xx
You should make a video for top ten book recommendations at the end of the year from the books you read in 2017.
Even Audiobooks? I recommend "The Untold Story of the Talking Book" to those who think that audiobooks are generally inferior to books. I am dyslexic. I listen to a lot of books and i am sick of this prejudice. Besides that good video =)
Listening to audiobooks still counts it isn't inferior don't listen to narrow minded, prejudice people.
I love listening to audio books whilst reading it has made it so less intimidating to pick up a book as I have dyslexia !
Clare Rachel x
Go Clare!
she’s gonna change the world what a genius
Camren the amount people study for does not equate to somebody becoming a genius, if you are using the word “genius” in the classical sense...
One is born a genius.
If that's your definition of genius and changing the world, then you are clearly born stupid and not capable enough to identify geniuses.
She's a perfect 9-5 slave. Genius is Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Jeff, Mark Cuban and Bill Gates.
Not
I needed this! I love reading so much but I never find time! Thank you so much!
Ariana's Bibbles I love your profile and name omg ari is queeeeeeen ❤️❤️❤️
You could be reading instead of commenting on youtube hahaha
Ariana's Bibbles you should look under your bed, for some time. That's where is always hiding.
Thanks for sharing. I'm a homeschool mother and my main rule of thumb is to never tell a child to stop reading. I will actually restructure my day to make that sure my children read as much as they'd like. Reading is the key to learning. Have you been tested? I'm sure you're off the charts. Happy readiing!
A true granger
i read 12 books last year an i was proud, maybe i can get a higher goal🤔
So...She's a real life Hermione?
I mean if Hermione were to have a youtube channel and give tips on reading books and studying that would exactly be it.
I freaking love Ruby's mannerisms and character. Brilliant, brilliant😄
@ flower of peace

Haha! I was just thinking the same thing! She sounds just like her! I love it!
Studying 14 hours a day? Let me give you some advice. Professional musicians dont practice for more than 2-4 hours a day. I love studying just as much as you and honestly admire you for your passion. There's not many people like us that really enjoy studying even when it's not during school! I once told a girl i was trying to date (she had no interest in me anyway so it didnt work out) that i liked studying and she didn't understand. Anyhow, your brain cannot compartmentalize that amount of information unless youre doing it in chunks, but even then. 14 hours is way too much. The most ive studied was probably up to 10 although probably not as intensively since i often daydreamed. At the very least find some time to set apart in taking care of your health. Sitting for long periods of time can be counterproductive. You're a truly bright girl, but you're very young and still have lots of life left to live. Work your way in having a balance in your life. Especially since you're on your way to college. What i carry with me from high school is not how much i learned but the memories and experiences i made. Ill end with this; Elon Musk has mentioned that he barely gets to enjoy life because he works so much. This isn't to discourage you, but to help you grow because book smarts != wisdom. Hope this helps Ruby. Never stop learning. (But always keep in mind that life isnt always about learning because life itself is a process). I'm 20 btw and i definitely plan on continuing to learn for the rest of my life just like you.
i got a salty vibe from this
Ninjabread
She doesn't really study 14 hours a day; only occassionally.
Few hours are enough to study thoroughly! :D
Lewd is best bait ok lol i was just giving advice based on experience?
Half way thru the reading i thought u are an middle age person, but u surprised me at the end.
Ninjabread maybe by "studying" she means school, maybe she's homeschooled
Another tip is to read by round numbers rather than chapters. E. g. Read 50 pages before you stop, or 100. Since doing this I fly through books! :)
#1 Set a time
#2 Read while travelling
#3 Carry a book
#4 Use page flags
#5 Love the lit.
what a lovely accent :o
I completely agree with all of these tips and apply them to my everyday life. I love reading and I am currently reading the Harry Potter series and a couple other smaller books on the side. I am on the fifth book, Order Of The Phoenix and I am absolutely adoring it. I love reading so much. However my mom no longer allows me to read at night because I normally end up staying awake until 4:00 AM reading. I may be slightly.... slightly nerdy but who ever said that that was a bad thing. I absolutely can not wait for school to pick back up. We will be reading small peices of Shakespeare in literature. Don't tell my mom but I've already snuck a tiny glimpse at Romeo and Juliet. Ohhhh I love school!!!!!
I enjoy your channel very much and appreciate all of your tips to a productive school and home life.
Hello Ruby:)
I recently bumped into your channel and started watching your videos and ever since i have been wanting to ask you this: how come a school student like yourself finds it necessary to study for such extremely long periods of time. Obviously you love studying as an individual, it looks as if it comes from inside but still why so so many hours? After all it is school, not even university. I don't think that any school student is supposed to study that long.
Yet, i really admire your discipline which leads me to my final question: do you never ever get bored of studying that much, have you never spent a day without studying? How do you manage do stay both so disciplined and motivated?
Thank you:)
Katerina Georganta everyone has hobbies priorities ‘guilty’ pleasures etccc... these may be the case for Ruby :)
It's just because we want to be special or we both have something special for the future
It's her hobby
Usually the videos with titles like “How to...” are crap. They either state the obvious, or suggest impossible tasks. Yours has really good advice. Realistic and doable. Great vide.
Really useful video Ruby! 👏🏾
This video is so amazing. I'm currently using the last tip, which is reading many different books at the same time 🤓 it really does help a lot
You sound like Hermione from the first movie
She is so right. I always travel with books, books on CD to listen to when commuting to work, books on kindle and kobo, read daily, and several books at one time. Been teased about reading multiple books at one time.
You're just like the girl behind you 😉
Wave Trader 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Maybe because she’s trying to be her so hard
Little WhiteBerry I think she is a lot like her and that's why you think she's trying to be like her...
Are you joking???
Don't you know who hrmoini is??
My life’s goal is to read 100 books in a year. I am going back to read habit, I read 2 books a month, hopefully, I can change it and read more! Btw, I love your videos and your aesthetic vibe!!
It is not about how many of what one reads, it depends on what one reads. For example, I believe that some books are useless and are not worth of reading at all. Yet some books are worth to read and should be read anyway. To sum up, reading is good, yet it also depends on what you read.

This video was great, Ruby! Hope you film more like this soon!
Keep YouTubing!
Have a productive week!
Love from India xoxo
nakshatra sali I am also from India 😀😀
Cool!
Omg you are so responsible and mature! I am also an avid reader - I read 72 books during the school year, and that was when I was 10. I read even more now :) Love your channel!
I am a nerd, I study 15 hours per day and I read about 73 books per month. AND I AM ONLY 11 YEARS OLD!!!!!!!!
In order to read more, you need to read more.
In order to read faster, you need to read faster.
Nah
Secret magic trick: read in the bathroom😉
Hi Ruby! I'm Russian and learning Envlish now. Thank you for your clear , understandble speach and exciting videos! Its always intresting to watch you! Thanks one more time!😊
but if you spend 14 hours studying, when do you go to school? 💗
i guess she counted it with the school time
you study in school
I think it's on the weekend
@@salmaa3801 not obvious
iambeautiful duh People really do that😜?
good advice, my only footnote will be that sometimes one has to learn to read books they don't like if its an important book, like say history or philosophy , this will also improve their reading skills.
I choked when I saw Hermaine poster
Ibn Sina Hermione *
Why? Her name is Ruby Granger and Hermione her role model so you should have expected it
This is the best advice. I used to read so little. But started doing similar things like her and went a long way. Although I read way less than her, my goal this year is to read 20 books (never achieved even half in a single year).
I use goodreads app to feel accountable and proud of the books I read and make sure I really really really pick the right ones in line. As I read 1, my line of books changes just to make sure the next keeps the bar for me.
Since I work a lot and like to use nights to go out, usually I read in the morning and in the night minimum 20 mins or until I get to the mark I want to get (which could be 1 chapter per night or a number of pages per night), that way I know how long it could take me to read it all.
Good luck!
I needed this video like so much ! I read about 50 books per year ( I'm 12 ) but I want to read more !
I am also 12 years old. And I take 2 months to a read a book. I want to be like Ruby!!!❤❤❤
Great advice! There are tons of books I have on my list to read, and you just gave me that extra motivation to get started!
How can i read a book when i fckn addicted with kdrama?? :((
candy 숭 maybe read novels that were adapted into k dramas? I like crime shows so I try to read true crime books
See it as an investment, is the short but great pleasure you get from kdrama worth investing more time in then investing your time in to a book that gives you not only long lasting pleasure, and also helps you to be the person you want to become?
candy 숭
I'm addicted too :// i spend 10hours everyday watching kdrama
I really fancy the way she talks. It's very calming.
I fancy her
@@andyisdead I'm not surprised, she's quite endearing.
*props, you're such an adorable girl!*
These are all great tips specially for people who think they don't have the time. But to me, reading is about enjoying the journey rather than how many destinations I reach. I'd like to read at my own pace, taste the words and the beauty of story and character development and by the time I finish, depending on the story, I'd like to stay in that world for a while before jumping to a new one.
RUBY, YOU ARE AWESOME. YOU ARE A GOOD ROLE MODEL FOR ALL. ❤❤❤😙😙
Hi ruby I have been watching ur channel for quite some time now. I just want to say that you have motivated to study a pick up a book again. I used to read like crazy when I was younger I’m 17 now I used to finish a book within a week but with exams and everything and studying it just fell off the hook and eventually I just hated reading books cause I felt like they were a waste of my time. Ever since I have started watching ur channel you inspired me to study at least everyday and read in the morning and before I go to sleep I try to read 2 chapters everyday thank you for inspiring me and others and ur videos are old kind of style which I find so cool keep doing what u are doing I especially love the study with me videos I would love to see more thank you for inspiring me and others of course and keep doing what u love and don’t let others treat like shit to make hate ur interest once again thank you so much for all the motivation
Love from India . I just have one question ,how do you handle peer pressure?
Shaurya Hegde Hey man ❤, I'd love to see ruby do a video on it!
How is ruby related to this topic?! 😂
Aadya Srivastava because she manages to make study her priority in all conditions .
Well that is really hard but stop from getting many friends and change to small circles of friend who really understand you like I have only one friend who really understands it all if I'm studying or anything she won't bother me as much but she'll still be by my side though she's very popular. It might be hard but do learn how to stay alone as well success and hardwork don't go out way.
Suruchi Thapa I'm the popular one here , feels like i can't even breathe without ppl judging me -_- . I went to library yesterday, people discussed about it ,like i killed someone 😂
This girl is just so incredibly amazing. Her love for books is contagious. I have unwavering admiration for her.
That means so much to me! :)
Ruby Granger -- Ruby, if I could please tell you one thing and that is to please stay true to yourself. You are very authentic and gifted. You have a very bright future ahead of yourself. Continue to read many books and remain diligent in your academic studies and all your dreams will be fulfilled. I am confident your parents are deeply proud of you. Do not follow the ways of the world but follow your dreams and keep doing what you are doing. Don't let the world corrupt you. You have a very noticable grace only a good soul has. Continue doing you and all in your life will work out.
Blessings from Canada.
Wonderful tips, Ruby! I've been so productive lately but now I'm finding that I'm in a slump of sorts. Do you have any tips on that? Also, someone else mentioned this in the comments but; how do you handle peer presure? Because people always ask me for help and when I don't know how to they almost shame me in a way.
Anyways, thank you again for a wonderful video! I hope you are well!
Sorenn Francis don’t give a tooter about displeasing them, you shouldn’t feel guilty
I first noticed your channel by your surname 'Granger'!
Then I loved your content so I subscribed.
I love your background Hermione photo!
Ever since I started college and now have to read for my classes, I haven’t been able to enjoy recreational reading anymore. Makes me really sad, because I used to read soo much as a kid
You'll get back to it. College slowed down my reading as well, but now I'm able to read much more often. You can still read during breaks and a little before bed to wind down.
I used to read so much when I was young, but I find that the older I get, it becomes harder and harder to find books that I really love. I agree with all the tips you said. When I was a bookseller, I read many books from many different genres that I didn't necessarily liked, and although it was a good experience to step out of my comfort zone and sometimes be positively surprised by books I wouldn't normally pick up, I didn't like many of them and sometimes I even didn't finish them (a thing I would have never done before, leaving a book unfinished!). Now I'm studying literature and I have to read lots of "heavy stuff" that I don't necessarily enjoy, but they make me appreciate the lighter stuff even more :D I'm currently reading one of my favourite book series of all time, four books with each 600 pages or more, and honestly, if I didn't stop myself, I would read day and night and I would finish them all within one or two weeks because I love them so much xD Even though I'm not a fast reader. I must say I could read faster but I don't enjoy a fast pace. I want to be mindful of each word and enjoy every sentence to the fullest, so I'm not a fan of fast reading.
On a sidenote, you seem so lovable and educated, just like Hermione! I admire that :)
really useful! thank you. Actually I was reading just now :)
same here
Your accent is beautiful :), and I respect you so much for balancing between studying and reading books, that's something I personally find very challenging, so keep it up. This is the first video I watch on your channel and I'm already a big fan :)
I should be reading instead of wasting my time on RUclips 😂
I've watched this months ago .. I'm here to tell you that now I'm reading more! I read everyday for at least an hour.. Thank you Ruby .. your videos helps a lot
I love these book videos ❤️ please do more! (I also have some book recommendation videos on my channel! 💫)
For those that are reluctant to read, just pledge to read one chapter a day. Chances are, if the book is good, you will not want to stop.
I also love reading.. but this year I m appearing for my boards so I m not able read the books I want... I m too busy with my own studies but that's interesting too... luv u
Me too!!!
Same but I’m still reading.
Even I love to read and I think I would die if I didn't read!
So....
I'm still reading!
Currently the boards are not that close enough so I’m reading a lot but when time comes I’m gonna give away this phone so that I can read for at least 1 hour a day which I use as my break time. So basically I’m sacrificing my phone time for books.
I don't get time to read but I hav this app named choices which is a pretty gud substitute... it is worth trying
I definitely agree with the tip on making a goal/tag on a page to read until, it’s one of the main things that keeps my mind on track and avoid being overwhelmed. I’ve only started reading for leisure again when I started college, last I did so was middle school. 100+ books is crazy! I have a list of 10 or so books, in a year and a half I got through 7 which is a big deal for me personally.
reading is a hobby, you don’t have to read if you don’t want to..
No! You should. Books are filled with human thoughts and ideas. It's our specie legacy. Its what made us rule earth. There is so much value in reading. Its improve your imagination, vocabulary, empathy, intelligence, memory and way more. Writing and reading made us go to the moon, its really everything.
Nikt Szczególny sure, but it seams like its really important reading 100 books in a year. I read, a lot, because i like it, but you don’t have to strees it out. Read whenever you want e how much you want. You don’t need to read this much to improve yourself. Read with the intention of improve and learn, not because you have to. I don’t know if you understand my point
yes, that's what I thought. Why do you need to set a goal like to read 100 pages a day or 100 books a year? What is the point? For me it makes reading stressful and instead of enjoying your time you are thinking about the "deadlines" you made up
No ofcourse not 100 books a year, but i think people have problem with reading one in a year...
Fabiana Milone In my personal opinion I think we ALL should read. At least a little. But I can see what you say. It's about the amount of books you read (which shouldn't matter because this is not a competition). But for example, in my case, I want to read faster because I have 100+ books that I haven't read and people still give me books because reading is my favourite hobby. That's why I want to read as many books as I can this year. And it'll be fun to do so!
1. Make reading a habit
2. Find time to read (e.g. transit, waiting)
3. Set mini goal
4. Pick the genre you like and enjoy it
wow real life Hermione granger!
It's very sweet of you to share this.. thank you!
what is the yellow paper on the wall? xxx
Another great idea if it is non fiction is to have a word document with bullet points to take key points from book as you go through it. This helps me review it at a later date without having to re read the whole book.
i read like 10 book a year
And if that's your best without getting anxious that you need to read more, keep with it. Nobody has the same numbers as everyone so enjoy those 10 books a year :)
At the moment if i read 20 books per year, i'm quite happy. I have other hobbies as well as reading which demand my time.
I read quite slowly and have other hobbies as well so around 10 a year is perfect for me
i read like 10 books in my lifetime
It's a pleasant surprise when you actually are Granger :) at first I was like 'oh she had a picture of Hermione on the wall' and I looked at your channel name :o also it's your aura that catch my eyes. Keep blooming!

blessed Muslimah
I'll help you with that.
Step 1: throw your phone out of the window. Don't go out to pick it up.
Step 2: read a book.
Hope that helps!
I highly recommend the app "Forest" :) It helps me focus on the tasks I have to do and I find myself being more productive when I use it. How it works is you set a timer, say, you want to work on your homework for 30 minutes, you plant a tree (Thus the name "Forest") and once you've planted it, you cannot leave the app! If you do leave the app, the tree will wither (tbh, it's really depressing) and that will serve as your motivation not to use your phone while you're working on something! You should totally check it out!
Turn off your phone if you feel you get distracted. The next time you try to go back to your phone, your phone will be off and stop yourself from turning it on
Oh wow you're an amazing girl! Your study and organizational skills -superb. Your parents must be proud!
Then there's me a uni student who reads like a chapter a week
This is the first video of yours that I watch and I must say: I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!
She's the carbon copy of Homaine from HARRY POTTER
I set reading goals mostly for the books I don't enjoy much, because I often find myself in the middle of a series I'm not too excited about, but I don't like to leave the story unfinished, so I have to find a way to get through it as fast as I can.
Hiii ruby....
I m u r new subscriber.....
U r very hard working...its impressive.😄
what u want to become in ur future??
Nikeeta Zaware I think she will be A doctor 😕 because she work hard
You know I actually thought the opposite because she is taking English lit , RS and chemistry for her A levels. It would be interesting to know what she wanted to become though!
Nina N Ah yesss, sorry I forgot- yes I think it was asking the lines of that and I think an author as well
Abominable Snowman I think she wanted to be a philosophical writer? I don’t know though 😊
. مَۣـۗڪﮩًۣۖـرﯠهْہۣۛ. Just because you work hard doesn’t mean you will become a doctor you idiot, a doctor isn’t the only job in the world that shows you are smart because most doctors in the world are dumb people anyway. She’s more of a scholar kind of person and a creative person, so that just shows how dumb you are that you would think a book reader would turn to a medical, limiting position.
#1 way to read more books: Read easy material. Keep on reading, but don't forget to challenge yourself. She gives good advice.
you read all these book but do your remember what you read?
John Smith yea i read so many books that i forgot
I think the purpose of reading is not to actually remember everything from the book but to get little bit of this and that along the way through the end of the book. I read a lot as well and I do remember some parts i like or the quotes that related to me. It’s not like study for test so I think just get the main idea or the relating-to-you quotes is fine. Most people read for entertainment anyway.
You dont remember the whole damnplotline😂 you just remember the main stuff and more importantly the *feeling* you felt while reading. For example my favourite book(s) which were pretty dark and solemm in nature had such extensive plotlines that it took me weeks to explain it to my friend. months later i have no idea what had happened. But the emotions it took me through were such a rollercoaster ride😊
