Ramayan is history not myth It has spiritual significance. Ayodhya heart no conflict Dasharatha mind which has control over 10 organs Kausalya that which brings prosperity represents selfless intellect Sumitra friendship with everyone quality of intellect Kaikeyi intellect which has contrasting qualities of compassion & passion To such mind & intellect 4 sons were born Rama one who revels within(Atma Rama); one in whom seekers revel(Paramatma );one who revels in all(Self in all) Qualities we need to develop which we see in the brothers Lakshmana(served Rama being with Him) "vairagya & seva" Bharata(served Rama not being with Him, he stayed in Nandigram not in palace) "love and sacrifice" Shatrugana "selflessness and humility" dasadasa he served Bharata who served Rama. Vishwamitra friend of all brings Rama out of palace to fight demons, He taught many weapons, life skills. Tataka false expectation like people, money will be there with me. Maricha dosha/negativities -ve needs to be turned into +ve Rama doesn't kill but change him to devotee Subahu sorrow which Rama kills
