I love this.. I've struggled with self harm and this just really puts it into perspective for me. I've been ashamed of my scars and felt that as a Christian, I failed. Because I have those scars all over my body. So I absolutely love this. That He makes me beautiful even in my mess. Even with the thousands of scars.

I tell my husband that everyday. He also has scars from self-harm. He hasn't done that in years (we've been together 30 years!), because he now knows what you have discovered. It especially helped me while I was in the Phsyciatric hospital for depression I was allowed to keep my phone so I listened to her music a lot and it helped me cope I still listen to her music a lot. This is amazing to see! The title caught my attention. I have a tattoo located on my right forearm that has psalm 139, the number 17, and the words beautifully broken. The number 17 according to theology means overcoming the enemy and having favor with the lord. I was sharing my testimony with a dear friend while attending college in 2014 and after hearing it he simply stated that I was beautifully broken. My life has a series of overcoming obstacles, I'm an abortion attempt survivor, a sexually assault overcomer, I've traveled through addiction but also have lived as an officer. I've battled depression and anxiety. My life, like many others, is a reflection of our gods love. My final battle is being rejected by the church for being transgender. I was a youth minister, a crisis counselor, and often worked with ministers across the globe only to have it all ripped away. I no longer have contact with family and lost many friends. I share these things because its helped may heal and come to know Christ, hopefully this platform allows the same reaction. Love this song! It’s been a repeat since I first heard it. Lol I am thank God that he gave you this talent. Keep doing amazing songs. As for those negative people automatically assuming that the song or her isn’t Christian needs to stop. Only God can judge that. And she has been completely transparent.
