The copper is one of my favorites, I need to find more decks to edge with it. 😊 I keep playing cards on hand just for edging and trimming practice. Thank you so much for watching!
Here in Australia it's hard to find the distress ink pad in the correct colours and they are horribly overpriced. Luckily I found an online store that is perfect in prices and colours. Could you please tell me what is the difference between the small distress ink pad and the Ranger acid free one and when do you use the acid free one? I am totally new at doing this so I'm having a lot of fun doing it. Really grateful for your time in teaching us how to do this. You've become one of my favourites chanels. Thank you!
I think they are the same thing actually, the distressed inks are by Ranger and they are all acid free. I just have the distressed ones so I can't really say how the regular Ranger stamps are, but I assume they work well too. 😊
This was so helpful! Thank you so much for sharing your technique 🤗 Approximately how long did it take for the druidcraft to dry ~ I am not the most patient person lol. I cant tell you enough how much i love your videos 💜
I am so glad you are enjoying my videos! I think it probably took about 20 minutes or so to dry, but I generally leave them sit overnight before I pick them up again and actually use them. Thank you for watching! 😊
Thank you so much for sharing this! I'm going to edge my Shadowscapes with the silvery ink pad. How long do you need to let the metallic dew drop inks dry on the cards before restacking them?
I generally restack them after about 15-20 minutes and then let the whole deck dry over night before shuffling. But it dries pretty quickly. Have fun modding! 😊
Can you edge matte cards the same way as glossy cards? I’m wanting to use the dew drops on my starseed oracle and work your light oracle decks but I don’t want to ruin them haha. 🤍
I haven't had any issues with the different types of cardstocks. I use all the same materials on all my decks and they seem to work well. 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️
I started edging my Shadowscapes last night with the metallic silver dew drop ink pad. I left them to dry for about 12 hours but when I picked them up I still had some ink rub off on my hands. How long do you let them dry? Will there always be some rub off with that ink? Someone told me pigment inks need to be dried with a heat tool.
Hmm, I haven't heard about that. I don't recall having any issue with the few drop inks. I generally let let them dry overnight and that seems to be enough time. Did you do more than one coat?
@@DawnMichelleTarot No, only one coat and I wiped the cards after. It's not a lot but definitely seeing the sparkles on my fingers. It is a brand new pad though, first nine cards of the deck.
Yay, this is great! Could you tell me the exact name of that copper one? I have a few of those ink stamp drops, but the one that I bought thinking it was copper, turned out very red
Can you use markers on the back of the cards? Or will that rub off? I have a deck where i like the pattern on the backs but the colouring is not to my liking at all, so I was thinking maybe paint over with black to darken it?
I have never tried coloring on the back of cards, I think it would lately depend on the finish on the cardstock on wether it would work. Kelly (from the Truth in Story) has shown her Halloween Oracle that a friend of hers spray painted the back and she said it's holding up. I've never attempted to paint the back of the cards so I can't really say how it would work. I would think if would eventually crack under the stress of shuffling, but I'm not really sure. Sorry I know that wasn't much help. 🙂 Thank you for watching. ❤️
I usually let it dry about 20-30 minutes before I stack them up and I usually wait about 24 hours before using the deck. You probably don't have to wait that long to use them, but I just like to be sure everything is good and dry. 😊
@@crab3696 thanks fantastic! I think that's what I did mine in too, it usually takes me two coats with the distressed ink because I like that good color saturation. 😊
That copper edging is really attractive. As I'm fairly new to deck modification, I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing. 😊
I am so glad you enjoyed it, thank you so much for watching. 😊
Your channel is quickly becoming my favorite. Enjoyed this video..
Thank you, that is so wonderful to hear!! Thank you so much for watching. ❤️
Omgoodness I am an Aries, that would drive me nuts! LOL! Every look at yours is making me want jump in there a do it quick. LOL
Lol it's time consuming for sure. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️
Awesome tutorial! I just edged my deck for the first time because of your ideas
How wonderful, I am so glad you found it helpful. 🙂 Thank you for watching! ❤️
Oh, I love that copper edging! The idea to practice on playing cards is awesome - I actually have some playing card decks that I would love to edge :)

Hmm, that's interesting. I think I edged my Star Tarot in that stamp, I don't think it's come off on my hands, but I'll check it and see.
Yay, this is great!

I believe the name of the copper one is "Cosmic Copper" I got it in a 4 pack with the other metallic colors. I hope that helps! 😊

Sorry, I may have missed it.. for the base coat... are those standard highlighter type markers? or more saturated like a sharpie?
I think they are a bit more saturated. They have great color that adheres well to the cards. I hope that helps!

@@DawnMichelleTarot great thanks. I did the Botanical Oracle with distressed antique ink today. Looks great. I used 2 coats.
