words can't describe the instrument this man has. his incredible range and emotions with which he sings is so utterly REAL. so powerful, yet laid-back at the same time. what a gift to take a new spin and add different flavor to a hit and still make it song delicious. go Bilal!

79blt, I am not sure what performance you went to, but I am a recent collector of his work and have a comprehensive list of his work. My playlist contains 187 performances of Bilal and only once did he forget his lyrics (2001-2009). I don't know if he was wasted, but listening to his music in headphones, I can tell you he hit every note. He is a vocal artist and his voice is his paint brush - his instrument. He is a man evolving thru his music. Don't look for what you saw yesterday.

Its 1 thing to perform a song but its another thing to feel a song when you share it. This arrangement is coming from somewhere Deep! This is his experience not a performance. This is some emotion that he feels and sharing it on stage. From what I can understand the Brother has gone through a lot in this slave-making industry (the music industry). Sure he has had his share of fair-weather soul sistas along the way. He sounds like a man who is tired down to his soul. Peace!

please dont take my dislike for the show as a dislike for someones evolution in music. ASSuming is never a good thing. my qualm is w/ the quality of the show i attended. when ur craft is your voice, u care for it and you present your best for ALL customers.this isnt about me not being able to connect and i didnt go expecting to hear anything. i was just excited to be there and was let down by what was garbage. if you werent there, its hard for you to defend but i understand. i love(d) him too
