Excellent, well rounded, and detailed review in all the right way imho. As a would-be physicist I am really enjoying this game, and I love having to choose appropriate ship and personal weapons to suit the environment. I also like the way you are reminded that ship silence is a very effective tool in certain conditions :D Before I forget my first buggy game was Zork - in the end the company sent me a new copy of the game and a mug. Games other than Bethesda games have also been buggy at release for decades :D
I've watched some of your vids for a bit less than a year. I never subscribe to channels but couldn't not do so once you mentioned your love for the best anime of the 90's LotGH. The remake that ProductionIG has been doing the last 5 years has been great as well and more true to the novels. As for Starfied, I have been debating building a gaming rig for the first time in decades and this review just pushes me more towards doing so. Thanks for all you do
Good review, only thing I think should be added is that they explicitly state that you must run the game on an SSD aswell. You will experience a significant amount of bugs and weird interactions if you aren't following the requirements for the game. This includes playing the game on an SSD. Which you should be doing anyways.
RTX2070 + i5-10600k. The game is constantly stuttering. fps around 28-30 on LOW setting in 1920x1080 in an open area. Very long loading screen. Game doesn`t have: HDR - any of the NVIDIA DLSS functions - Brightness Adjustment - FOV adjustment. The game feels like a community made mod for a fallout. In my opinion - definitely not worth the price they are asking and need to wait for further patches and fixes. EDIT - the fact that you have 2080ti and have to play with almost minimum Render Resolution for Full HD is just mindblowing. PC requirements for this game are not justified by the way the game looks.
Wow man, thats a good review. Better than IGN's. I myself am thinking about starting a fully unbiased game review series since none of these large review companies seem to actually play the games they're reviewing.
Holy sow, Starfield actually got made?? I thought it was another Half-Life 3... just a vaporware game that the devs talked about a long time ago, but would never actually make themselves.
9.7? LOL how much did Todd pay you for this? This is literally skyrim/fallout in space, bugs and all. For a game that Todd calls his magnum opus, you would expect something greater. 9.7 is a near perfect game. I think you should play other goty contenders to get a frame of reference, eg. totk, bg3, or even armored core6, because from the streams I've seen, this game is a mess and doesn't push boundaries at all like it claimed to (modders will fix that btw)
Literally confused why he praises this game so much, it looks like F4 and asks for a 2080 to run at around sub 60FPS which is horrific (and i don't even remotly believe that he gets 60-110 FPS on a 2080), the faces and animations look just old, the exploration is abysmal for a Bethesda game with the worst way you can procedurally generate stuff and it gets annoying real fast in your restricted 1x1 tile, it's a loading screen into loading screen into loading screen simulator, main story is generic and only consists out of fetch quests, game is missing polish and you feel that later into the game, a okayish game, but definitely not 9.7 maybe an 7.5 which is just not a Bethesda standard and not even remotely coming closing to the former Bethesda games. I had low expectations since F4 and especially Fallout 76, but Bethesda convinced me otherwise.
Typical RUclips bot, content creators have to disclose that their videos are ads or sponsored if they're being paid under the FTC guidelines or we get fined. I wasn't paid anything. Play it yourself and make up your own mind, don't look at reviewers' scores or reviews to make the final judgement before even playing.
@@NefasQS brother, I was being hyperbolic about being paid by Todd. It was not meant to be taken literally. The point is your score is ludicrous and unrealistic for an "honest" review. It hasn't even fully released yet (early access btw) and people are ALREADY over the honeymoon phase. This is NOT a near perfect score game, not even remotely close. I'm curious to how you rate BG3 over Starslop. Also a point of a review is to potentially convince people to buy the game and you telling me to purchase it and then watch/compare it to the review is hilarious. Instead you try to mislead people into buying with your inflated score.
@@choiboi23Where in this video do I tell people to buy it? I received a press copy and I had 80+ hours to review it, didn’t make this video off of early access launch. Could care less if you buy it or not lmao 😂
Its not a good game ffs its just sparkles slaped on a paper like map dont get me started with science on this game it doesn't work lazy development how the f can people can't see it. It is basically fallout 4 with a space mod attached to it
The game is a Loading Screen Simulator. Run Simulator. dialogue Simulator. All of thr journalists are paid liars and should be ashamed for rating this game over 70%

I wonder how the crown store and lootboxes will be in this game :D
Bethesda isn't Zenimax... 😅
@@theanurabi y heard that before ;D
What are you talking about
@@terrible1fi thought its gonna be a MMO game, so my mistake :D
Great review. Thanks for including the letter from Todd. I am very sorry to hear about your loss

Starfield being this good gives me hope for the future of Bethesda
It is not good. Dont trust blindly. It is pure shite

Thanks Nefas. I was waiting for this before buying it. Appreciate your honesty.
Dont buy....
Im ready! Good to hear your thoughts!
2 details that bothered me: I cant see Earth from the moon, and ships make sounds on planets with no atmosphere.
Luckily, nothing mods wont fix. ^^
i wondered your take on this
to say its there biggest story over es madness

Ugh I really question your judgement now. I dumped 80 hours into this game and it never got beyond meh
"with my specs" - what are those specs bro?? what is the GPU/CPU used? what is the resolution?
1:46 under the subheading 'Specs' with multiple resolutions checked
Yep, a perfect loading screen simulator.
