There’s a continuation to this as well of how each percentage affects the percentage of you winning the round. For example, flanking when you have a vandal and the enemy is on eco. Most likely the fight is going to be in your favor BUT if you win that fight your chances of winning the round have only increased lets say 5%. If you die while flanking you just gave them a gun and increased their chances of winning that round by 30 or even 50%. Making flanking with vandal on anti-eco usually not worth it.

Valid point, Valorant is a game of weighing your odds and knowing when to take risks

This was honestly really well spoken. Gives me alot to think about and how to approach pretty much anything in game.

This is something i realized a while back that shifted my mentality from thinking about how loss works fundamentally
And how that in itself affects your ability to climb
It becomes much more of an eventuality rather than a "can i do this" when you realize that not only are losses going go happen
Losing and making those bad decisions is the only way to improve as fast as possible
Because all you're essentially doing is process of elimination for whats a good decision vs whats a bad one
This even goes into things like aiming, you can use this approach
Its all about % plays, what decisions you make, conciously or unconscious, and being okay with the risk
The first step is to recognize that everything youre doing is a choice youre actively making, whether you're aware of it or not
And the only real difference between you and those at the top is that they've made those decisions so many times and have figured out the right ones, and practiced said decisions so much that to them its reflexive protocols
Its jusr process of elimination, but it gets more micro the further you go
Thats why you dont notice those decisions when they make them, that's why to you it seems to be pure intuition

When I realized this a couple of months ago, I started seeing how much people "save" their utility to dry peek instead, and I was one of them. 😂

tl;dr consistency comes from making decisions that give your team a higher chance of winning compared to the other team, so take the risks that have the best chance of working in your favor

Great vid! Still new and am definitely making mistakes. I always try to find my mistake, but framing it like this as a percentage chance will make me think about other factors a lot more. Appreciate it!

sova isn't a bad example, you should have kept talking about it bc what would sova do in that situation to tilt the percentage in his favor

recon bottom mid to get info before peeking though it would make more sense for sova to use util so other teammates can use it to their advantage

Can you explain how Jett using smoke gains her advantage? Jett Smoke is either used as a gateway exit or covering angle so she can check less angle, I can see she used it when on a disadvantage but on 50-50 how smoke can gain any advantage?
