Hi I`m from Northern Ireland....A visit to St Georges market is a must especially if you want to try exotic foods from around the world and listen to local music experience a great indoor atmosphere, also visit Crumlin road gaol, it will be an interesting experience for you.
Hi! I really love your videos. Thank you so much for sharing! This video motivated me to visit Belfast and I've planned a solo trip there in June. I'm super excited!!
Was born in belfast and grew up their,in the past the city and n.ireland were shunned by most people because of the problems, great Too see open minded people like you guys visit and enjoy
Great video of one's city, you are very much correct you only scratched the surface of the city. So many great cultural events and places to see within the city from St. Georges Market, Belfast Castle, Cavehill (Sunrise Experience looking over the city and Belfast Lough is a must). If visiting in early August the Feile an Phobail festival in the west of the city is a must experience with hundreds of music, arts, talks and workshops available to attend (Some of which videos can be found on one's channel). Colin Glen Forest Park is home to great scenery and adventure activities including archery, traboggan and Ireland's longest zipline taking you through the heart of the forest.
Probably the best one-day assessment I've seen from any visitor. Belfast - as much as the whole of NI - has so much too offer, but for some peculiar reason the Tourist Board do not promote it very well - they seem to prefer to promote the whole of Ireland, even though Eire is not part of the UK. The authorities just cannot shake their political stance. Nat refers to theTitanic Museum, but acttually, it isn't a museum in the accepted sense, for it has very few genuine artefacts; if you want to see artefacts of the Titanic, they're all in museums throughout the US as it's a great source of revenue for them. Virtually every item retrieved from the Titanic wreck is in American hands, which is very sad. But at least Matt and Nat were savvy enough to realise the bias they were given from the Black Cab driver!
That was awesome. I’ve wanted to visit Ireland for a long time and your vlog makes me want to visit even more. Hope there weren’t any language barrier issues 😉
Thank you! And yes... We agree 100%! We definitely hope to make it back to see and experience more of the city! Unfortunately we didn't have the time on this particular trip, but we live by the saying that it's better to see something once than hear about it 1,000 times! Thanks for watching!😊
My husband and me went to Belfast this summer, (only for a day too). We got a totally different vibe from it than you did. (That's okay though...different strokes for different folks!) To us, it seemed so depressing and sad that the Catholics and Protestants are still divided...in their religious beliefs, but also physically. (Those walls aren't all there for just artwork!) Almost all schools are still segregated by religion. It seems so sad and narrow-minded. I still love your videos...it's always good to get other's perspectives! 😊
The areas with the walls are some of the most socially disadvantaged areas in Ireland and the UK. The city has many different sides to it, however - the south of the city is very nice as are Holywood (beach with city view) and Cave Hill but many tourists do not go here.
As a native i can tell while schools are amongst the best in Ireland and Uk, northern Ireland exam results are always highest in the UK year after year, the schools remain segregated. Due to lower birth rate this will need to change in the future, most likely post primary. My son and that generation integrate much better and don't allow sectarianism to affect there lives. In part i feel they are naive, as unfortunately in some areas on both sides it still exists. Great you had such a wonderful time.😊
It’s more to do with national identity than religion tbh, nobody really cares what religion you are tbh, but national and ethnic identity and culture is where the divide is
It will be more useful to give us a price range on stuff such as your breakfast! just looking at a cup of coffee and you telling us it is so good isn't going to help future visitor
Unfortunately, prices change so often that the information wouldn't be accurate for long, and then we would be misinforming future visitors. Thanks for watching though!
I did notice that MARTIN did stop ,you got out went around all Irish nationalists/Republican murals etc, but when it came to the British shankill road no stopping, the sad fact is these visitors who hire black taxis, are mostly from the nationalist/ Republican side of the fench
Wow what a response sounds very disrespectful to Belfast Northern Ireland Get your facts right Uk is England Wales Scotland and our beloved Northern Ireland Be more polite

Ireland
Obviously. Clue's in the name: Northern Ireland.
The sinking of the Titanic was not a 'tragedy', it was deliberate.
Deliberate or not, it was still a tragedy. Innocent people died.
